Slash qualify for the Team Tournament
The Slash have qualified for the Team Tournament! They will go in as the #2 seed out of the field of 32 -
Christopher Stovall named Team MVP
Christopher Stovall has won the Team MVP award for the 4th Slash season.

The Slash's Magical Ride Ends
Almost as surprising as their run to end the season and make the playoffs as the #2 seed, is the Slash's quick exit in the first round, dropping 3 straight to the Cobras. They opened with just 99 points, the first time they were below 100 in 15 straight games. They attempted late runs in the first 2 games, but it wasn't enough to overcome the 20+ point leads the Cobras piled on.
Coach lasstr8 did a remarkable job assembling top talent below $70m for the season, so the first big question going in is will they be able to retain Christopher Stovall who's $17m contract is up and is a restricted free agent. The team sits in line for the 7th pick, with a 7.8% chance at the top pick in the draft. If they can make that pick work, they should be one of the early favorites to win it all next season.

Slash get big win over Wolves to take #2 playoff spot
Both teams came in with league leading win streaks, but the Slash proved the better team with a season tying best 8th straight win 107-97 over the Wolves who had their 6 game win streak snapped. The Slash wrap up an amazing end to their regular season that saw them jump from well out of playoff contention, to 2nd seed. They face the Cobras in the first round with a tied 1-1 head-to-head record this season.
The Wolves drop to a 4th seed and will face #5 Cheery O's, also 1-1 head-to-head this season.

The Complex Playoff Situation
Lizards
After wrapping up a playoff berth several games back, the Lizards will take the top seed for the second time in team history, looking for their first championship.
Wasps
The Wasps had a huge 2nd half to the season and holds the tie-break over the Wolves if needed for the 2nd playoff spot if both teams win.
Wolves
The Wolves have been on quite a tear down the stretch to clinch a playoff berth and a possible 2nd/3rd seed. If they lose however, they might drop to as far as 6th depending on their game vs the Slash and the outcomes of the Eclipse and Cobras games.
Slash
The Slash are on the verge of doing the impossible, struggling at 3 games under .500 to win, a major team rebuild along the way, and now a team record 7 straight wins and on the verge of a playoff berth for the first time in team history. They face the Wolves and are in with a win. With a loss, things get very complex, but they have one of the better shots to get in even with the loss.
Cobras
The Cobras can get into the playoffs with a win. They face the Broncos who attempt to play spoiler who they beat previously this season. The Cobras would reach the playoffs for the first time in team history. With a loss, it gets complex, but it's possible that the Eclipse, Cloud, Cheery O's, Wranglers or Ice Monkeys might pass them up.
Eclipse
Another very unlikely run late in the season has the Eclipse trying not only to get back to the playoffs after a dissapointing previous season, but take a stab at the championship. They are on a 5 game win streak and face the Wranglers who beat them earlier this season in a game with big playoff implications. If they win, they are in... with a loss, they may need some help.
Cloud
The Cloud have made big moves to end the season, but find themselves in a tight battle to make the playoffs. They hold the edge over the Ice Monkeys and Wranglers if they both win. They face the Cloud which they should have a good shot against, and with a win they should get in, but things still have to fall in place
Cheery O's
The Cheery O's have a good shot to make the playoffs as well. They face the Impact for their final game, a team they beat previously. With a win they are most likely in... with a loss, there is a good chance, but things remain complex.
Ice Monkeys
The Ice Monkeys have been hard to figure out this season, but they have still put themselves in position to return to the playoffs. They have no more games, so will need the right teams to lose to get in.
Wranglers
The Wranglers have had the biggest collapse to end the season... the same way they started. They face a good team in the Eclipse which will most likely seal their fate... however even with a win, they will need more help from other teams.
Impact
The Impact have a very slim shot of making the playoffs. They face the Cheery O's in their finale and must win. Even with a win however, almost every other team will need to lose, and they still may not make it. With a loss, they go home.

Ladd huge for Slash over Wranglers for franchise record 6th straight win
It was quite the battle between the Wranglers and Slash with big postseason implications on the line. The Wranglers have sputtered down the stretch in what looked like a sure playoff berth, but lost their 3rd in a row, this time to the Slash 111-102. Meanwhile the Slash have been incredible facing playoff elimination winning their last 6 contests after they inserted Gary Ladd into the starting lineup to solidify their offensive attack. Ladd scored a game high 34 with 9 boards on 13 of 15 shooting to lead the way.
The Slash face the Wolves and Moles to wrap up the regular season attempting to make the franchises first postseason appearance. The Wranglers will attempt to dod the same with tough games vs the Wasps and Eclipse.

Slash waive Sean Hong

Slash win 3rd straight despite 50 point outting by Augustine
It looked like the revamped Slash would run away with another game going up by as much as 20 over the Cobras, but the never-say-die Carson Augustine kept the team in it late scoring a franchise record high 50 points, the most put up by anyone this season, and tied for 2nd most in league II history. The team however let the game slip away in the closing minute losing 136-129. Christopher Stovall led the team with 21 and 11 boards.
The Slash have been on an offensive tear, with their last 3 games putting up 3 of the top 5 highest point totals in team history, and all top 5 point totals coming this season. With the win, the tie the franchise best of 15 wins in a season. If the team can actually win out the last 5 games, they should be able to guarantee themselves a playoff spot.

Slash Retooling
It's been quite a merry-go-round for the Slash this season under GM lasstr8. As the team sits trying desperately to surpass the franchises most wins of 15 in the 1st season, they have built a team around prize catch Christopher Stovall. However, the team has changed drastically from the team he was surrounded by last season, and continues to change with the most recent addition of Gary Ladd.
Ladd, a former #1 pick and rookie of the season, 2-time all-star and 2-time All-League selection, has been a hold out for the better part of the season, finally persuaded to join the Slash for a long term contract as they will now have a decent shot to make the playoffs for the first time in team history.
Other notable changes include Caleb Weatherspoon in and out from the Cloud, Denis Rosa and Stan Villano to the Cloud, Michael Mattox and Cole Lemus in from the Wasps, Nathaniel Kahle and Gonzalo Calpin gone, Brandon Siva gone, Boone Rehrer and Blaine Hannon in from the Wranglers, Hannon then back out. Chester Keene, Jeffry Brewington and future 1st round picks to bring crowd favorite Truman Scanlon back from the Cheery O's... among others.
Add to this the multitude of free agent pickups along with top 10 draft pick guards Isar Tellefsen and Isod Safron. Quite a different team from just a season ago, with several different lineups... the only constant being Stovall. It remains to be seen if GM lasstr8 settles on this roster, and if in fact he can even hold onto the job next season... how the season plays out should decide.

Scanlon returns to Slash in huge win over Diamonds
Don't count the Slash out just yet, they rolled to an easy victory over the Diamonds by 31 as Truman Scanlon made his return to Slash stadium after being traded last season in the Christopher Stovall deal. He didn't disappoint as the teams all-time leading rebounder pulled down 11 boards with 22 points in the win.
The entire team clicked as all 5 starters had double-doubles with Randall Madera leading the way scoring 26 with 11 assists. Even rookie Isod Safron came off the bench for a near double with 8 points and 8 boards.
The Slash pulled in a season high 49 boards as Scanlon should help a defense that ranks last in rebounds per game as they attempt to continue keeping themselves in the bottom mix for a playoff position.
