Diamonds make it interesting, but fall to Eclipse for 14th straight loss
The Diamonds fell again at home to the Eclipse 103-98 despite giving themselves a chance to strike with under a minute left. The 14 losses now tie the Wasps for the longest losing streak in league history. Coincidently, the team plays the Wasps on the road for the unfortunate chance to break the record.
Cliff Labbe had great numbers despite it, scoring 32 with 14 boards, but shot just 11 of 27. Collin Trotter scored 26 with 11 boards. Brady Preston was injured and figures to miss the rest of the season.
The Eclipse were able to win their 14th game of the season, guaranteeing that the team won't be worse than their franchise worst 14-21 record in season 1, but of course it remains a very dissapointing season for the reigning champions.

The game was back and forth until the 4th when the Moles launched into a 24-6 4th quarter. Eclipse venture into Moles Stadium for championship rematch
Last season it was quite a different story as both teams were well above .500 at the halfway point in the season. Currently both teams are still struggling to find their stride with the Moles at 9-8 and the Eclipse sitting at 7-11.
Kent Noll has hit a mid-season slump after a very fast start, so the Moles will be relying more on Hiram Atkins to take the load, while they have also been tinkering with the center position, as Virgil Fowle has been more consistent than his counterpart Edward Furbee.
For the Eclipse, Judson Ibarra has been struggling all season and found his way to the bench last game in favor of Carlton Poling who is having a solid season. Miquel Windish finally made his starting debut putting up a double-double with 16 points and 15 boards. Stan Villano backed him up after a string of bad performances.
If the Moles are able to pull this one out, it will be because of the perimeter game. If the Eclipse take it, it will be because they kept their turnovers low.
