  • Deavers selected for All-League Team

    Genaro Deavers has been selected to represent the League II All-League team after averaging 22.6ppg, 6.0rpg and 4.4apg during the season.

  • Cheery O's are in!!

    Once again it came down to the wire in one the most entertaining series of the playoffs with the Cheery O's edging out the #1 seeded Lizards 105-103 and take the series 3 games to 1. Kent Noll once again carried the eam on his back scoring his playoff high of 46 points including 6 three pointers. Rogelio Pacheco has been huge the entire playoffs, with this game as no exception scoring 23 points with 9 assists.

    The Lizards have struggled with team play the entire series and this game was no exception with Genaro Deavers being the only difference maker with 28 points, 7 boards and 6 assists.

    It will be the Cheery O's vs the Cloud in the first ever championship in League II!

  • Cheery O's face stiff challenge against Lizards

    All signs point to the Lizards to take this series against the Cheery O's in the semi-finals of the left brackets. The Lizards are coming off of a 6 game winning streak going back to the regular season while the Cheery O's are coming off a 3-1 series win over the Broncos, only after flirting with not making the playoffs by losing 4 of their last 5 games during the regular season.

    The two teams only meeting came in the middle of the season where the Lizards got the best of the Cheery O's with a 113-94 win. The Cheery O's will hv to rely on its defense to have a chance against the Lizards as their offensive depth is fleeting. Kent Noll will need a spectacular series as well to keep up with the Lizards whose offense boasts nearly 105ppg.

  • Cheery O's hold on to stun Lizards after 2OT in game 1

    Fourteen lead changes and 16 ties in the the double overtime span left the Cheery O's with an early series lead in the left bracket semi-finals. Kent Noll started off extremely slow scoring just 4 points in the first half. He finished strong however ending up with 26. Rogelio Pacheco was the teams leader scoring 34 with 13 assists while Frances Daley scored 26 with 9 boards.

    The Lizards had solid games from Genaro Deavers scoring 24 with 7 rebounds and 8 assists while Drew Hanes scored 24 off the bench.

  • Cheery O's poised to deliver knock blow to Lizards

    Who could have ever seen this?? The Cheery O's  are up on the Lizards 2-0 in the semi's and just 1 game away from reaching the leagues first championship game against either the Moles or Cloud.

    It seems Kent Noll has finally found the shooting touch this playoffs scoring 37 the last game. Rogelio Pacheco has also been heating up the court upping his assists average from 7.4 to 10.8 apg. The Lizards look to be out of answers. They will start Drew Hanes again as they did all regular season hoping that will spark the teams offense.

  • Lizards battle back

    Not so fast Cheery O's... the Lizards came out fast, leading by as much as 16 as they faced playoff elimination against the Cheery O's. With Drew Hanes in the starting lineup, the team never relinqued the lead after the 1st period despite the Cheery O's making a huge run to cut the game within 2 in the last seconds.

    Genaro Deavers scored 25 points with 6 boards and 8 assists to lead the team, while Bart Kelleher played a solid game with 23 points with 8 boards.

    For the Cheery O's, Kent Noll once again lit up the scoreboard with 38 while Rogelio Pacheco scored 19 with 6 assists.

    The series moves back to the Cheery O's home where the team will try to close it on out and move onto the championship series.

  • Bart Kelleher finishes 2nd in the league in free throw percentage

    Bart Kelleher averaged .939 free throw percentage per game this season finishing in 2nd place leaguewide. The Lizards congratulate him on this accomplishment.
  • Lizards move on with a sweep of the Impact

    It was a clean sweep of the Impact by the Lizards as they move on in the series winning 3-0. It was very much a team effort as the Lizards defeated the Impact 87-76. Team MVP Genaro Deavers scored 17 points with 11 boards and 5 assists.

    The Impact go down by losing their last 5 matches of the season and seeming out of answers after such an amazing start to the season. They barely squeaked into the playoffs taking the 8th spot with a 19-16 record, and end the season with a first round series loss in straight sets.

  • Deavers selected as an All-Star

    Genaro Deavers has been voted as an all-star for the Lizards. Deavers averaged 22.6ppg, 6.0rpg and 4.4apg.

  • Lizards take #1 seed in playoffs

    With their 24-11 record, the Lizards sit with the #1 seed and will go into the first round of the playoffs hosting the Impact.

  • Rosa bumps record to 49 points in win

    Morris Rosa was a one man machine on the floor lighting up the Lizards for a new league record 49 points in the Terriers 133-118 win. This was his 4th 40+ point game this season. He hit 19 of 30 shots with 7 three pointers. He is now averaging 28.2 ppg, just behind Jared Isaacs 28.9ppg. Jeffery Espy kept him fed dishing 16 assists with 8 boards and 7 points himself. Kelly Foushee scored 25 and Gayle Smithson scored 27.

    For the Lizards, Genaro Deavers led the team with 25.

  • Lizards become first team to notch 20 wins

    The Lizards led by as much as 19 points before the Meteors came back late in the 4th, Buford Lashley missing a three pointer coming just short of sending the game into OT. Genaro Deavers led the team with 34 points, 9 rebounds and 7 assists, however hit just 10 of 23 from the field and just 13 of 20 from the charity stripe. Elbert Saucier scored 25 with 15 boards for a double-double.

    For the Meteors, Dean Botelho added 26 with 7 boards in the loss that saw the Lizards shoot an astounding 51 foul shots.

  • Deavers has the Lizards poised for the #1 spot

    The Lizards have broken away from the pack of leaders and stand alone at the top, outscoring teams by a league leading 10 points. Genaro Deavers is the teams go to guard for the team that has a well rounded crop of players including their leading scorer Drew Hanes who is scoring just about 22ppg and Jamal Reese who is grabbing 9rpg.

    Deavers is scoring 21 ppg, 4 apg and 6 rpg and only seems to be improving as the Lizards eye the #1 spot going into the final stretch of the season.

  • Impact defeat Lizards in OT

    It was a mammoth of a meeting the Impact attempted to make a season sweep of the top ranked Lizards. It was a back and forth game and went to overtime when Adalberto Sreaves hit a three pointer with time expiring to tie the game at 108. In OT, the Impact were able to keep command of the game edging the Lizards by 3, 128-125. Along with the Cloud, the teams are considered to be the tops in the league and perhaps a championship preview.

    League MVP candidate Jose Teske again led the team with 29 points, 8 boards and 14 assists including 5 for 10 from downtown.

  • Wranglers score big victory over Lizards

    The Wranglers held on to defeat the Lizards 133-123 ending the Lizards 5 game win streak. The team held a 75-57 lead at halftime and held on from there never to relinquish the lead. Malik Dullen had a career high 40 points with 8 rebounds. Kent Himes scored 24 while dishing 9 assists.

  • Varny/Schenk shine in loss

  • Lizards win 6th straight

    The Lizards had no problems beating the depleted Moles 99-88. The team won their 6th straight game and now sit alone at the top of the standings.

  • Lizards are the real deal, 5 straight wins

    The Lizards match a franchise best 5 game winning streak, beating the Slash 104-88 after they took control in the 4th quarter. Genaro Deavers continued his great run of 4 straight 30+ point games, with 30 points, 4 boards and 5 assists.

    The team is now tied with the Fire Ants for the leagues best record at 15-6

  • Deavers scores 39 in win over Cobras

    Genaro Deavers had his 3rd 30+ straight point game as the Lizards scored 121 points in beating the Cobras for the 2nd time this season. Deavers scored a career high 39 points with 7 assists. Bart Kelleher scored 23 points with 7 rebounds.

  • Deavers leads Lizards in 28 point win

    Genaro Deavers took control early and terrorized the Battle as his Lizards won the game 116-88 on the road. Deavers scored 32 points while pulling down 6 boards with 5 assists in the game. The Lizards remain in the mix of the top few teams in the league.

  • Lizards blast Ice Monkeys by 36

    Once the 2nd half rolled around, the Ice Monkeys felt the fury of the Lizards as they mounted a 36 point lead led by Genaro Deavers who scored 32 points with 12 rebounds and 7 assists in the win to keep the Lizards in the mix of best records at 12-6.

  • Lizards waive Kurt Kee

    The Lizards have cut Kurt Kee from their roster. Kee had yet to appear in a game this season for the Lizards.
  • Hanes and Deavers light up the Meteors

    The Lizards handled the Meteors from start to finish beating them 107-94 led by Drew Hanes who scored 34 points and 5 boards on 13 of 20 shooting and Genaro Deavers who put up 28 with 9 boards in the win.

    For the Meteors, league scoring leader Dean Botelho scored 33 points with 12 boards, but it wasn't enough for the struggling team to make an impact.

  • Lizards demolish Diamonds to remain undefeated

    The Lizard became the first and only team to win 5 games and stay undefeated with a 39 point win over the Diamonds. The onslaught saw the Diamonds score 40 points in the 1st quarter to put them up by 20 points. Drew Hanes scored 37 points to lead all scores while Elbert Saucier made the most of his 2nd start scoring 29 points with 22 rebounds. The Diamonds have been on an injury streak that has seen them lose their top 3 centers. They will have one of them, Marion Olp back starting next game.
  • Lizards scorch the Wranglers by 28

    Gearo Deavers came off the bench to spark the Lizards to a 4-0 starts defeating the Wranglers 86-58. He scored 19 points with 8 rebounds to lead the team. The team pulled in a whopping 60 rebounds in the winning effort.
  • Lizards team game gets the better of the Cobras

    The Cobras couldn't get right against the Lizards despite keeping the score close throughout the game. Israel Deaton dished 12 assists with 10 points, Drew Hanes led all scorers with 36 points while Genaro Deavers hit 12 of 14 free throws to go with his 21 points, 9 boards and 6 assists. All-in-all it was a very evenly matched game with the difference coming down to the Lizards 27 free throws made vs the Cobras 19. For the Cobras Armand Whyman scored 26 points, however he was atrocious from the perimeter going 0-8 until hitting his final attempt.
