Reigning Champs improve to 2-0, look ahead to Teske's return to the den for game 3
After dismantling the Fire Ants on opening night, the Wolves were able to hold off the Broncos--now 0-2--by a score of 102-89. Dudley Cronin tied his career high in assists with 15, while Rico Redner nothced a game high 21 points on 8/16 shooting, and threw in 6 boards and a dime to boot. For the Broncos, Jake Lomeli led the way with 20 points, playing in stark contrast to fellow Forward Bradly Suniga, who shot 3/11 overall and 1/6 from deep, and now has shot 11/37 from the field and 2/16 from beyond the arc this season.
The Champs have left no doubt thus far in this young season as to as to why and how they are the Champs--their starting five remain the same as the title-winning group from last year...sans one Jose Teske, who now runs with the Meteors. The Wolves will host him and his new team tomorrow in a much anticipated matchup.
Coach Ill Jackson: "I know he circled this game on calendar as soon as they were released. It wasn't a bad breakup or a messy situation when he left, so no bad blood."
"But he's a competitive player, as are my guys and everyone will be hyped to have one of our key players in winning that title back in our house in a different uniform. We're looking forward to playing ball."

It was another fantastic championship game between the Cobras and Wolves, but this time the Wolves fended off the Cobras who nipped at their lead all throughout the game. The Wolves didn't let up, winning 115-106 even with Rawdon Connard going down to injury.
The Wolves tie up the series 2-2 and force a game 5. Dudley Cronin led the team with 30 points and 12 assists while Connard scored 20. They will be without their Team's MVP for the finale as they attempt to become to first team in League II history to come 2 games from behind and go on to win the title. It would also be the first time in LeagueHut history that it would happen since season 3 of League I.
Hold on to your seats, it should be another nailbiter as the series moves to the final game at Wolves stadium!

Big Test for the Moles as they face Wolves on the Road
The Moles have finally hit their stride winning 3 games in a row, they will try to make it 4 against the Wolves on the road. It would be their longest streak since season 1. The Wolves are atop the standings at 14-5 while the Moles sit at 11-8, however according to the last 4 power rankings, the teams rank 1 and 2 as the favorites for the championship.
The Moles have been getting sensational play from Hiram Atkins lately, while perennial all-star Kent Noll has simmered a bit after a red hot start to the season. Vince Varney has been solid in what could prove to be his finest season to round out the cornerstones of the team.
For the Wolves, recently benched Jose Teske leads the team with 16+ ppg and is their leading FT and 3P option, however his sporadic play midseason has many wondering if he will rebound even in time for playoffs. Dudley Cronin has been running the offense with Trent Ewert playing well and positive play from rookie Ridge Brydell.
It should be an intense and interesting matchup between the two teams and a barameter especially for the Moles who lost opening night this season at home to the Wolves 113-102.

Blowout win in Ill Jackson return to Wasp court
The game just looked unfair as the Wolves pounced on the Wasps 33-17 in the 1st quarter, never looking back on their way to a 38 point win 119-81. The game marked coach Ill Jackson's return to the floor of the team that ousted him after last seasons dissapointing record. Season Opener Starts Out Competitive but Gets Out of Hand for Wasps
The Cloud open Season 2 with a comfortable home win against the Wasps by doing what they do best--scoring. Season 1's best shooting team (1st in the league with .500 FG% and .390 3P%, and 2nd at 103.1 PPG) shot 52% from the field today, with C Randal Lyne leading all scorers with 33. The Wasps held it close into the 2nd quarter but could never close the gap, and things slowly got out of reach and never returned.
Wasps Coach Ill Jackson: "I know we can be competitive, we've been competitive in the preseason and here today. But you don't step on the court to just be competitive. You come out here to win, to execute and turn all your hard work into results. We need to do a better job of that, starting with me. Give the Cloud credit, though. They can light it up."
The Wasps shot just 38% overall, including 17 of 47 from beyond the arc. Rookie G Dudley Cronin put up 22/11/6, but contributed to 8 of the team's 20 turnovers.
