Gilliland did not disappoint. There is a new buzz around the Moles as the team struggles to get back to .500 in what has been by most accounts so far a very disappointing season.

    They handedly defeated the Battle 127-84 in their most decisive win of the season forcing 21 turnovers and draining 10 of 23 three pointers.

    Gilliland scored 18 with 8 rebound while Brendan Spain was brilliant with 28 points and 5 assists going 10 of 11 from the stripe (including his first missed free throw of the season). Kent Noll had 25 points with 4 steals and 6 assists.

    Richmond averaged 1.8 PPG, 2.0 rebounds and 1.1 assists in 6.5 minutes per game. Roundy averaged 1.0 PPG, 1.0 rebounds and 0.0 assists in 3.0 minutes per game. Tiller averaged 10.1 PPG, 9.1 rebounds and 1.3 assists in 34.9 minutes per game. August averaged 3.1 PPG, 4.5 rebounds and 5.0 assists in 22.9 minutes per game. Gilliland averaged 15.3 PPG, 10.6 rebounds and 0.2 assists in 36.6 minutes per game.

    The Wranglers came into the game with a win-and-in situation with the Meteors potential victory over the Slash, and delivered a 10 point win over the Jacks. Tyrone Hamel showed up big time with a season high 40 points with his 7 rebounds. Malik Dullen continued his resurgent season scoring 18 with 13 rebounds.

    The Jacks Joe Gilliland scored 32 in the loss. The team ends the season on a 5 game skid and tie for the worst record in the league. They will go into the offseason hoping to score a lottery draft pick. They've had success in recent years with this seasons #2 pick Re Scalese and #1 pick Gary Ladd in season 2.

    The Wranglers finish 19-16 for the 3rd straight season, and will land the #8 seed with a trip to play the Slash. Last season they were bested in the second round by the Cobras.

    The Moles have reached a deal with the Jacks that will send Joe Gilliland, and Moses Boisvert to the Jacks in exchange for Kent Noll.

    Gilliland averaged 12.2 PPG, 5.8 rebounds and 0.6 assists in 24.5 minutes per game. Noll averaged 22.8 PPG, 2.4 rebounds and 2.6 assists in 32.8 minutes per game.

    The Moles advance to their 2nd straight round 2 of the playoffs after handedly defeating the Diamonds 101-85 and winning the series 3-1. The team will face the Lizards in the semi-finals. Joe Gilliland scored 23 points with 15 boards to lead the team.

    The Diamonds head home after quite a season that proved doubters very wrong capturing the #3 seed spot in their first playoff appearance a season after their injury riddled 12-23 showing.

  • Moles put together complete game to beat Diamonds and go up 2-0

    The Moles played well from start to finish defeating the Diamonds to take a 2-0 series lead in the first round of the playoffs. Both Hiram Atkins and Joe Gilliland turned in double-doubles while Vince Varney scored 28 with 9 boards and 5 assists in the win. They kept Cliff Labbe at bay, limiting him to just 14 with 3 boards. The series goes back to the Diamonds home as they attempt their first franchise win to stay alive in the playoffs.

    The Moles have been one of the most inconsistent teams this season, but they made easy work of the Diamonds taking game 1 108-101 with contributions from everyone  except the one who is normally the teams savior, Hiram Atkins, he only scored 4 points int 18 minutes. The other 4 starters scored at least 20 points with Buford Lashley scoring 31 and Joe Gilliland pulling in 14 boards. For the Diamonds, Cliff Labbe scored 31 with 11 boards while Collin Trotter scored 20 with 10 boards

  • Diamonds beat Moles handedly

    The Diamonds continue to play very well ousting the Moles 131-107 to improve to 12-6 on the season and dropping the Moles to 11-7. The Diamonds got contributions from their big 3 Brady Preston with 25 and 8 boards, Cliff Labbe with 32 and 10 boards, Collin Trotter with 27 and 9 boards and then a big game from the 5th pick, rookie Hunter Tiller who scored a new career high 23 points with 8 boards.

    For the Moles, Hiram Atkins struggled to just 6 points with 8 boards while a surprise performance from backup center Joe Gilliland was a welcome surprise scoring 31 points with 8 boards in the loss.

Skabo averaged 18.7 PPG, 5.3 rebounds and 3.1 assists in 32.0 minutes per game. Hewgley averaged 16.4 PPG, 2.1 rebounds and 8.2 assists in 34.7 minutes per game.

    The Meteors are now a long cry from their 1-8 start now winning their 4th of the last 5 games. Marshall Silvia was inserted back into the starting lineup and he didn't dissapoint, playing 44 minutes and scoring 33 points with 6 rebounds. Dean Botelho had 32 points and Joe Gilliland put up a double-double with 14 points and 10 boards in their win 106-91 over the Battle.
