  • Wolves take game 1 behind Teske triple double in OT

It was quite a game as the Lizards and Wolves battled it out in game one of the semi-finals. The Wolves desperately held close throughout the game culminating in one of Jackie Porcaro's 3 3-pointers with time expiring to send it into OT. He was 3 of 3 on the night. In OT the Wolves got the best of the Lizards on the road winning by 7.

Jose Teske had one of his best games of the season registering a triple-double for the first time in a playoff game. He scored 28 to lead all scorers to go along with 10 boards and 11 assists. The Wolves will host the Lizards for game 2.

  • Porcaro injured, will miss at least 2 games.

  • Coming off the bench was just what Porcaro needed

Jackie Porcaro opened up Season 3 as the starter shooting 8-26 from the field in three games, going 3-9 from the charity stripe.  This was obviosly not the Porcaro from the past, so Coach Ill Jackson decided to move rookie Ridge Brydell to starter and have Porcaro come off the bench.  That change has made a world of difference.

Since the switch, Porcaro is shooting .587 from the field, averagin 14.1/8.5, has three straight double-doubles (team high), and has been a key, unsung factor in the Wolves explosion of a season thus far, even on their worst night.  Porcaro had 12/12 (season high)/2 with 2 steals and a block in the Wolves' disastrous loss to the Ice Monkeys, which ended their 7 game win streak.  Porcaro: "It's been the spark I needed.  I wasn't the happiest about having to come off the bench at first, but it is a different perspective and the team's been doing so well it's allowed me to step in feeling that much more hyped but settled in at the same time...So yeah I'd say the switch has made a big difference."

  • Wolves take 6 straight

After a very close loss to the Moles, the Wolves have been on quite a tear, winning their next 6 games, this one over the Badgers 111-80. Jose Teske had another great game scoring 27 with 6 boards and 10 assists. Trent Ewert scored 26 with 7 assists off the bench. Jackie Porcaro also had a double-double with 18 points and 10 boards off the bench making up for Roy Wesolowski's struggles shooting 1 for 8.

  • Teske returns from 1Q injury for OT and clinches win on Slash court

The Wolves came out of the gates on fire against the Slash, eventually leading to a 10 point halftime lead, but it came with a cost.  Both G Jose Teske and F Roy Wesolowski were out with injuries by haltime, and the Slash were able to tighten things up in the 3rd, and took their first lead in the 4th.  Slash F  Truman Scanlon (team-high 29 points and 11 boards) tied it up at 97 with :20 left, and Wolves F Jackie Porcaro missed two shots in the final :10, sending the game to OT.

Teske felt good enough to return from his foot injury and play in OT, where he made an immediate, game-saving impact, scoring 7 of his 13 points on the night, finishing with just 12.7 total minutes.  Rookie F  Ridge Brydell (12/14/0) and G Dudley Cronin (20/10/8) both finshed with double-doubles, and the Wolves out-rebounded the Slash 66 (ties all-time record) to 33.

  • Rosa follows up 50 point game with 39 points in Impact win

Morris Rosa has looked incredible again tearing into the opponents with reckless abandon. He scored 39 points with 10 boards in the Impact 125-81 victory over the struggling Wolves for the teams 3rd straight win. His performance included 6 three pointers in 8 attempts. Not to be outdone, Jose Teske scored 29 points with 9 assists and hit 4 three pointers of his own.

For the Wolves, Jackie Porcaro put in a double-double scoring 19 with 10 boards.

  • So far the Cloud seem to have made the right moves during the offseason to give themselves a good shot at a repeat title. They traded away reliable 6th man Jackie Porcaro who is now leading the Wolves, but they added The X-Factor Tommie Drey who was underutilized by the Wolves last season as well as role player Brandon Siva to go along with their championship front of Randall Madera, Jared Isaacs, Randal Lyne, Caleb Weatherspoon and Cecil Frueh.

Tommie Drey adds an element of surprise to every game and has shown that he can be whatever you need him to be, wether it's dropping 30 in a game, pulling down 15 boards or dishing dimes, he built for the job. Once the season comes down to crunchtime, many think The X-Factor Tommie Drey will be the player that makes for breaks the run for two titles.

  • Moles too much for Wolves

The Moles remained one of the teams to beat in League II, defeating the Wolves 102-91 to go to 5-1, while the struggling Wolves drop to 1-5. Hiram Atkins continued to be on point scoring 29 with 12 rebounds and a big 6 for 6 from downtown. Trevor Skabo scored 25 while Edwin Schenk scored 21 with 10 boards before fouling out.

Jackie Porcaro faced a constant double-team which limited his production to 14 points, but Caleb Shedd was solid with 25 points and 13 boards.

  • Pocaro leads the way as Wolves join the win club

The Wolves could muster just 81 points, but it was good enough to notch their first win beating the similarly struggling Fire Ants by 10. Both teams now post a 1-4 record. Jackie Porcaro led the club scoring 25 points with 10 boards as the Wolves are hoping to turn a corner after starting 0-4.

  • Franz,Porcaro traded to Wolves for Cloud Drey

The Cloud have reached a deal with the Wolves that will send Phillip Franz, and Jackie Porcaro to the Wolves in exchange for Denis Cato, Tommie Drey, and Efrain Millner.

Franz averaged 1.3 PPG, 5.2 rebounds and 0.3 assists in 19.3 minutes per game. Porcaro averaged 12.5 PPG, 8.6 rebounds and 1.6 assists in 30.5 minutes per game. Drey averaged 17.5 PPG, 8.5 rebounds and 2.3 assists in 32.8 minutes per game.

  • Porcaro receives ring

Jackie Porcaro has received his championship ring for being part of the League II, Season 1 champion Cloud team. Congratulations!

  • No problem for the Cloud taking game 1 at home

The Cloud took the lead for good late in the 1st half and never looked back defeating the Cheery O's 113-87 to take the first game in the League II championship series at home.

Jared Isaacs scored 26 points with 5 boards while Jackie Porcaro put up 17 with 13 boards.

Kent Noll of the Cheery O's was contained to 27 points as the offense just couldnt get things going. The Cheery O's host game 2 where it will seem to be a do or die situation.

  • Do or Die Game 5 for Fire Ants/Cloud

The Fire Ants won the first, the Cloud won the next two, then the Fire Ants rounded it out with a game 4 win at home even the series up 2-2. The #3 seeded Cloud were the favorite to take it all, and may still be going back home for the final game, but they are missing a crucial player in Cecil Frueh who dropped 46 points earlier in the series. They are however probably the deepest team in the league including all-star and points leader Jared Isaacs, three point threat Randall Madera, solid center Randal Lyne, Caleb Weatherspoon, assist master at the point and role player Jackie Porcaro who steps in for Frueh at the other forward spot.

The Fire Ants sport a deep bench as well but heavily rely on all-star center Israel Jacoby to set the tone of the game. A win will come down to wether Evan Wile and Gregory Cushing are able to step up with big games to give the team the boost they will need on the road.

  • The Cloud steamroll Lizards for 5th straight win

The latest power rankings had the Cloud jump 4 spots to #1 and they put on quite a show for it destroying the formidable Lizards 101-77. Caleb Weatherspoon had a career day with a near triple double, 23 points, 10 boards and 8 assists. Jackie Porcaro scored 29 with 11 boards while the leagues leading scorer Jared Isaacs put in 28.

The Cloud now sport the best record in the league at 10-2 (6-0 at home), and with Randall Madera coming back from injury any game now, the team will just be that must stronger.
