  • Way Too Early Assessments

Despite his numbers down last season, Morris Rosa remains a beast. Rosa has come out the gates fiery hot scoring 38 and 47 points... both more than his highest output of the previous season. The former League MVP is also hitting 83% of his shots while the Impact aim for their 4th straight 20+ season.

The Slash offensive juggernaut rolls on. Despite the lineup changes, most notably Rawdon Connard , Khan Lefeaver and Gregorio Yule replacing Hiram Jurasz , Christopher Stovall and Randall Madera... the Slash look to be on course to lead the league for the 6th straight season in scoring. This also may be Connard's launch into superstardom.

Jamison Bomberger is still Jamison Bomberger. Back w/ the Ice Monkeys where he rose to superstardom, the 2-time League champion and reigning League MVP is keeps the Ice Monkeys as a threat despite losing Gregorio Yule to the Slash in a potential team rebuilding move.

The Eclipse won't miss Collin Trotter. While the team will not be as deep this season, the team can be nearly as potent with their Cobras deal sending Trotter away for the #1 pick Center Kazuo Bybee after Bomberger and Randal Lyne both departed for Free Agency.

Mohammed Lemaster will not save the Jacks. The team tried to get somewhat back to their roots by getting one of the teams original members who has since gone on to be a 1-time all-star and all-defensive player. He joins Defensive MVP Re Scalese to lead the team, but there are just still too many holes for the team not to have their 6th straight losing season.

Never discount the Meteors. The team never seems to rise to the level of top tier... but the trio of Jose Teske , Homer Gandy and Trevor Skabo will keep the team as a contender throughout the season.

The Wolves are scarier than last season. Not only does the team have a bucketload of potential all-stars on the court at all times and have the potential to put up even sillier offensive numbers than last season... they can also still play defense. After their franchise best 29-6 campaign last season where they led the league in point differential at +14.3ppg, it's possible the team stretches that to challenge the Slash's record +17.2 differential from two seasons ago.

  • Stovall,Scanlon,Jurasz traded to Wolves from Slash for Bowline,Connard

The Slash have reached a deal with the Wolves that will send Christopher Stovall, Truman Scanlon, and Hiram Jurasz to the Wolves in exchange for Kale Bowline, Rawdon Connard, a season 11, 1st round draft pick, and a season 12, 1st round draft pick.

Stovall averaged 15.9 PPG, 7.3 rebounds and 0.7 assists in 32.9 minutes per game. Scanlon averaged 5.5 PPG, 2.5 rebounds and 0.3 assists in 11.5 minutes per game. Jurasz averaged 11.5 PPG, 6.5 rebounds and 3.1 assists in 34.3 minutes per game. Bowline averaged 19.3 PPG, 2.4 rebounds and 2.1 assists in 34.2 minutes per game. Connard averaged 14.4 PPG, 10.5 rebounds and 0.4 assists in 37.9 minutes per game.

  • Eclipse squeeze past Slash in OT thriller

The Eclipse came out strong mounting an 18 point lead early in the 3rd and tied series game against the Slash. However by the time the half closed, the 70% plus shooting by the Eclipse dwindled and the game was virtually tied.

As time dwindled in the 4th, Omar Platter hit the game tying shot to send things into OT at 122-122. In OT the Eclipse were able to hold the slight edge throughout winning by 4 and taking a 2-1 lead in the best of 5 series.

Michael Mattox led the team with 34 points, Malik Dullen scored 25 with 13 boards and Collin Trotter dished 15 assists with 22 points. Evan Wile scored 22 with 15 assists while Christopher Stovall scored 29 and 10. Cliff Labbe scored 16 with 11 boards off the bench in the losing cause.

  • Slash: Full Speed Ahead

The Slash haven't lost a step from last season when they led the league with an unmatched offensive juggernaut. They led the league in scoring, points, field goal percentage, three pointer percentage and assists on their way to a #1 seed in the playoffs, falling short in a 2-3 series loss to the eventual champion Ice Monkeys.

This season they have been slashing through opponents with a vengence, scoring an unheard of 124 points per game as the team is hitting nearly 54% from the field. All 5 starters have been playing at all-star levels, led by 4-time all-star Christopher Stovall who has been unstoppable with over 25 points and 9.5 rebounds per game and hitting over 63% from the field. He is the early favorite for League MVP.

Not to be outdone, long-time Diamond Cliff Labbe joins Stovall at the other forward spot averaging over 24ppg in what is shaping up to be a career season. Evan Wile and Randall Madera are right in step, both with over 9 assists per game while still both having double-digit point outtings every game. Hiram Jurasz in just his second season, and first season starting is hitting 65% from the field with nearly 15ppg and over 8rpg.

At this rate, the Slash look unstoppable. Their only loss came while scoring 143 in OT to a Terriers team who had to break the league record with 147 points to win.

  • Slash wrap up playoff home field advantage with win over Broncos

The Broncos, in need of a win to keep their playoff chances from becoming razor thin, kept things interesting against the high-powered Slash going up by 14 in the first half and then staying close till the final minutes. However the Slash, who have dominated this season with their record-breaking offense overpowered winning 114-104 and shoring up the #1 spot in the playoffs.

Christopher Stovall had a big day, tying his season high of 31 points while hitting 6 triples and pulling in 9 boards. Evan Wile dished 15 assists while scoring 16 in the win. The Slash have a chance to tie the League II record of 26 wins when they square off against the Meteors, who still have a playoff chance and the game could possibly be a preview of the playoffs 1st round action.

  • Slash wrap up playoff berth with win over Cobras

The Slash became the first team guaranteed a playoff spot after a 127-99 rout of the Cobras. Evan Wile dished a personal best 17 assists while scoring 21. Christopher Stovall scored 27 with 8 boards in the win. The team now faces the challenge of trying to shore up home advantage through the playoffs.

  • Christopher Stovall re-signs with Slash

Christopher Stovall has signed on to play for another 4 seasons with the Slash for a contract worth $11,310,000 per season.

  • #1 Slash Squeeze by Sun Bears to Advance

It was quite a battle between the Slash and Sun Bears, coming down to the last seconds, but the Slash hold on to advance 124-123. Christopher Stovall led the team with 30 points while Emilio Colapietro put in 22 with 11 boards. The #25 Sun Bears were led by Litton Woodier who scored 33. The team bows out after a terrific effort and tournament, the furthest they've ever gotten.

  • #1 Slash Roll Strong

The Slash have lived up to their #1 billing, this time rolling over the Terriers by 33 points. Christopher Stovall scored 26 with 13 boards in the win. Rookie Isar Tellefsen dished 13 assists withe 21 points. They move on to the quarter-finals to face the Cheery O's/Sun Bears winner.

  • Christopher Stovall named Team MVP

  • The Slash's Magical Ride Ends

Almost as surprising as their run to end the season and make the playoffs as the #2 seed, is the Slash's quick exit in the first round, dropping 3 straight to the Cobras. They opened with just 99 points, the first time they were below 100 in 15 straight games. They attempted late runs in the first 2 games, but it wasn't enough to overcome the 20+ point leads the Cobras piled on.

Coach lasstr8 did a remarkable job assembling top talent below $70m for the season, so the first big question going in is will they be able to retain Christopher Stovall who's $17m contract is up and is a restricted free agent. The team sits in line for the 7th pick, with a 7.8% chance at the top pick in the draft. If they can make that pick work, they should be one of the early favorites to win it all next season.

  • Slash win 3rd straight despite 50 point outting by Augustine

It looked like the revamped Slash would run away with another game going up by as much as 20 over the Cobras, but the never-say-die Carson Augustine kept the team in it late scoring a franchise record high 50 points, the most put up by anyone this season, and tied for 2nd most in league II history. The team however let the game slip away in the closing minute losing 136-129. Christopher Stovall led the team with 21 and 11 boards.

The Slash have been on an offensive tear, with their last 3 games putting up 3 of the top 5 highest point totals in team history, and all top 5 point totals coming this season. With the win, the tie the franchise best of 15 wins in a season. If the team can actually win out the last 5 games, they should be able to guarantee themselves a playoff spot.

  • Slash Retooling

It's been quite a merry-go-round for the Slash this season under GM lasstr8. As the team sits trying desperately to surpass the franchises most wins of 15 in the 1st season, they have built a team around prize catch Christopher Stovall. However, the team has changed drastically from the team he was surrounded by last season, and continues to change with the most recent addition of Gary Ladd.

Ladd, a former #1 pick and rookie of the season, 2-time all-star and 2-time All-League selection, has been a hold out for the better part of the season, finally persuaded to join the Slash for a long term contract as they will now have a decent shot to make the playoffs for the first time in team history.

Other notable changes include Caleb Weatherspoon in and out from the Cloud, Denis Rosa and Stan Villano to the Cloud, Michael Mattox and Cole Lemus in from the Wasps, Nathaniel Kahle and Gonzalo Calpin gone, Brandon Siva gone, Boone Rehrer and Blaine Hannon in from the Wranglers, Hannon then back out. Chester Keene, Jeffry Brewington and future 1st round picks to bring crowd favorite Truman Scanlon back from the Cheery O's... among others.

Add to this the multitude of free agent pickups along with top 10 draft pick guards Isar Tellefsen and Isod Safron. Quite a different team from just a season ago, with several different lineups... the only constant being Stovall. It remains to be seen if GM lasstr8 settles on this roster, and if in fact he can even hold onto the job next season... how the season plays out should decide.

  • Scanlon returns to Slash in huge win over Diamonds

Don't count the Slash out just yet, they rolled to an easy victory over the Diamonds by 31 as Truman Scanlon made his return to Slash stadium after being traded last season in the Christopher Stovall deal. He didn't disappoint as the teams all-time leading rebounder pulled down 11 boards with 22 points in the win.

The entire team clicked as all 5 starters had double-doubles with Randall Madera leading the way scoring 26 with 11 assists. Even rookie Isod Safron came off the bench for a near double with 8 points and 8 boards.

The Slash pulled in a season high 49 boards as Scanlon should help a defense that ranks last in rebounds per game as they attempt to continue keeping themselves in the bottom mix for a playoff position.

  • Augustine scores another 44 points to slide past Slash in OT

Carson Augustine continued his monster season tying his own season leading 44 point output as the Cobras barely held onto the win in OT 111-110 over the Slash to improve to 8-4. Augustine is averaging 25ppg in what should be the finest season of his career.

The Slash had a chance to win, but Christopher Stovall and Stan Villano missed back-to-back shots in the final seconds. Stovall had a huge game with 37 points and 17 rebounds while Villano scored 17 with 13 boards. Dime machine rookie Isar Tellefsen dished 15 assists.

  • Tellefsen and Slash set records in win

The Slash shocked the Meteors with a franchise record 137 points in a 26 point rout to even up their record to 2-2. Rookie Isar Tellefsen had huge game breaking the League II assist record with 19 in a game, crushing the franchise record of 15 in the process. He also scored 27 points to lead the way in what will most surely be one of many memorable games for the young guard, especially playing alongside League Tournament MVP Christopher Stovall who finally opened up with his best game of the season scoring 30 points 11 of 14 shooting with 11 boards.

  • Christopher Stovall awarded League Tournament MVP

  • Wolves repeat rebound dominance over Slash, move on to 2nd round

The Wolves survived a  Christopher Stovall (game high 28 points, 18 boards) and move on to face the winner of the Cloud/Jacks game. Dudley Cronin notched his 2nd triple-double of the season (15/10/10) while Trent Ewert led the team with 26 points.

The Slash erased a 16-point 2nd quarter deficit and held things close into the 4th, but the Wolves were able to open up and hold a lead off of back to back and-ones late.  The Wolves have now out-rebounded the Slash 177-98 in 3 games this year.

  • Stovall selected as an All-Star

  • Christopher Stovall finishes 2nd in the league in points

Christopher Stovall averaged 24.9 points per game this season finishing in 2nd place leaguewide. The Slash congratulate him on this accomplishment.

Christopher Stovall averaged .452 three point percentage per game this season finishing in 3rd place leaguewide. The Slash congratulate him on this accomplishment.
  • Slash win 3rd straight on strength of Stovall's 40 points

Despite once again being outrebounded by the Cobras 49-38, the Slash commanded and controlled the game flow winning on the road 114-92 for the teams 3rd straight win. Christopher Stovall scored 40 points with 10 boards in the win while Emilio Colapietro scored 22 with 9 boards.

Of course the Slash are officially out of any playoff contention, but coach lasstr8 has the team fan base feeling great about the future after a series of moves which should set the team up to be real contenders in the coming seasons. Another win would give the team a franchise record 4th straight win.

  • Stovall notches first win as Slash

The Slash cruised to victory over the Wranglers 116-90 giving Christopher Stovall his first win a Slash uniform. He scored 28 points hitting 6 of 8 from downtown, a sore spot for the team. Since Stovall's arrival however, the team has 2 games shooting over 44% from downtown, they had just 2 all season before that. Denis Rosa, another transplant from the Broncos led the team with a game-high 30 points.

Kent Himes was held to just 11 on 4 of 15 shooting while Tyrone Hamel was held to 13 as the Wranglers drop to .500.

  • Stovall vs the Battle

All eyes will be on Christopher Stovall vs the Battle as the most surprising trade in league history was made. The Slash dealt away a top draft pick, their leading rebounder Truman Scanlon and Alfredo Card to nab Stovall from the leading Cheery O's in what ends a frenzy of trades to set the Slash up for the future. Both the Slash and Battle come in to the game w/ 16 losses, and seemingly out of any hope... Stovall may change that for the Slash, as the team is ready to compete and see just what kind of a run they can make to close out the season.

  • Scanlon,Card,1st round draft pick traded to Cheery O's from Slash for Stovall

The Slash have reached a deal with the Cheery O's that will send Truman Scanlon, Alfredo Card, and a season 5, 1st round draft pick to the Cheery O's in exchange for Christopher Stovall.

Scanlon averaged 15.7 PPG, 8.1 rebounds and 0.8 assists in 29.6 minutes per game. Card averaged 1.3 PPG, 1.3 rebounds and 1.0 assists in 6.1 minutes per game. Stovall averaged 25.0 PPG, 9.4 rebounds and 0.2 assists in 34.7 minutes per game.

  • STOVALL: has the Cheery O's fans believing

Is this the Cheery O's season? If you have watched Christopher Stovall play this season, he'll have you believing. The team was projected to be championship contenders, but it was a rough start, losing 4 of their first 7 games to open the season, but they have quickly recovered and have been the hottest team since, with streaks of 5 straight and 7 straight wins to elevate themselves to the top of the standings.

Stovall has been in the League MVP conversation and is playing his best ball to date, averaging over 24ppg and 9rpg, almost single handedly elevating the Cheery O's to wins game-in and game-out. Stop Stovall, and you will stop the Cheery O's... unfortunately no team has been able to do that thus far.

  • Stovall injured, will miss at least 2 games.

  • Stovall scores season high of 42 points in Cheery O's win

It was the Christopher Stovall show in the second half of the Cheery O's vs Cobras game, with Stovall scoring a season-high 42 points in the 104-85 win. He was an incredible 10 of 11 from downtown tying the Cheery O's record of 10 made three's set by Kent Noll in season 1. The Cheery O's improve to 7-4 on the season.

  • Stovall and Cheery O's keep Wranglers at bay

  • Eclipse fight off Cheery O's for first win

It was quite a battle as the undefeated Cheery O's took went head-to-head against the Eclipse on the Eclipses home court. After 18 lead changes and 16 ties, the Eclipse hit several clutch free throws down the stretch to give the team a 106-103 win after a failed last second three pointer attempt by Nathaniel Kahle. The Eclipse finally hit the win column while the Cheery O's drop to 2-1.

Eli Jaycox scored a game-high 34 with 6 boards. Christopher Stovall continued his terrific season with 32 on 14 of 21 shooting and 9 boards.

  • Cheery O's prevail in dramatic OT

What an incredible game between the Cheery O's and Moles as the team slugged it out into overtime with the Cheery O's remaining undefeated at 2-0 and a 120-119 win. Christopher Stovall fought off double teams all game long to finish with a game-high 33 points and 11 boards in the win. Kent Noll was big again for the Moles in the loss scoring 28 points and dishing a career high 8 assists. Edward Furbee neared a triple double with a career high 9 assists with 10 boards and 12 points. Buford Lashley scored 29 points. Hiram Atkins fouled out in the 4th after 14 points.

  • Pacheco and Stovall lead Cheery O's to finish undefeated preseason

Rogelio Pacheco and Christopher Stovall figure to be the cornerstones of the highly ranked Cheery O's this season and they showed why as the team beat the Wolves 115-104 in their final preseason outings. Pacheco scored 26 with 10 dishes and 5 boards in 31 minutes while Stovall scored a game-high 30 points with 7 boards on 11 of 14 shooting in just 26 minutes.

For the Wolves, the team finishes 2-2 as the team is expected to be one of the more exciting teams sporting Jose Teske, dubbed "The Walking Triple Double", and 2nd season player Dudley Cronin who is just as exciting and a triple double threat himself every game out. The two form one of the most dynamic guard pairs in the league.

  • Stovall selected as an All-Star

  • Eclipse prevail in lopsided win

In perhaps the leagues most lopsided win ever, the Eclipse climbed to 14-7 with a 70 point victory over the Cheery O's. The Eclipse shot 61% overall and 75% from downtown while keeping their turnovers down to 11 in the franchises highest point total in team history. Under new coach Tikmann, the team has already matched their 14 wins from last season with 14 games still to go.

Meanwhile  the Cheery O's have struggled greatly this season, and it was made worse when scoring leader Christopher Stovall left after just 15 minutes with injury. The team faltered to scoring just 67 points, a new franchise record low with just one player in double figures... 12 from Rogelio Pacheco. The team hopes to get Stovall back next game, because if they don't it seems hopeless that the team could score more than 80 points in a contest.

  • Stovall injured, will miss at least 1 game.

  • Stovall's 42 not enough for Cheery O's

The Cheery O's have had quite a rough start to the season going 1-4 through 5 games, dropping another one to the Jacks 105-90. It was a homecoming for Kent Noll against his former stomping grounds where he mustered just 18 points. Christopher Stovall took charge for the Cheery O's with nearly identical numbers to a couple games ago scoring a career high tying 42 points with 14 boards including 7 of 11 from downtown. • Impact ward off Diamonds as game came down to wire

It was anything but a stroll in the park for the Impact who fended off the tenacious Diamonds 108-106 with the game coming very much down to the wire. The always ready Jose Teske kept his MVPesque season going with 18 points on 8 of 12 shooting with 8 rebounds and 8 assists.
