    With Alec Merriman back in the lineup, it was the Impact doing what the Impact are known to do... find a way to win a game. Not only did they defeat the Broncos by 10, but the Broncos lost their inside force in center Edward Furbee who will most likely miss the remainder of the series, and their backups just don't cut it. It will be interesting to see what kind of game 3 it will be as the Broncos attempt to close it out at home.

  • Impact beat Lizards to take standings lead!

    It was hailed as a championship preview matchup pitting the leagues two juggernauts head-to-head. The Impact came away with the victory with a new League I record 11 straight wins beating the Lizards 123-76 in a surprise blowout victory that found the Impact winning by an unbelievable 47 points. The Lizards 76 points were a new team record low to go along with their record low shooting percentage of .314. This is also the first time all season that the Lizards suffered back-to-back losses.

    Morris Rosa scored 28 with 12 boards and 6 assists while Reynaldo Gill scored 25 with 13 boards. Alec Merriman also served up a double-double with 21 points and 12 rebounds.

    The Impact are now 12-3 at home and take the standings lead for the first time this season sending the Lizards into a very close second place.

    The Impact can boast a starting 5 that can match the best of any other team in the league. The loss of Christopher Stovall was thought could be the undoing of the teams chemistry, but they have been looking as good as ever with Morris Rosa, Jose Teske, Reynaldo Gill, Alec Merriman and Modesto Cogan running the show. Rosa scored a game high 31 points with 7 boards, Teske scored 16 with 13 dishes. Merriman has been a rebound monster, grabbing 18 and Modesto Cogan has been solid at the #2 gaurd scoring 16 with 7 dishes. They improve to 4-1 beating the Cobras 112-85.

  • Wild win for Impact over Wranglers

    There were a dizzying 27 lead changes and 15 ties before the Impact finally pulled away by 10 to defeat the Wranglers 96-86 to improve to 3-1. This was the Wranglers first loss of the young season, they now stand at 2-1. It took reigning MVP Jose Teske quite a while to get going, but he poured it on in the final parts of the game to finish with 23 points and 10 boards. Alec Merriman had a huge game scoreing 11 points with a career high 19 rebounds. The impact pulled in 56 boards overall.

    Malik Dullen had a good game for the Wranglers scoring 20 points with 15 boards shooting just 7 for 20. Interestingly the Wranglers have been playing their #3 pick in the draft, Stan Villano who scored 19 points with 8 boards, over their all-star and team MVP Kent Himes who has been struggling with his shooting percentage. He scored 8 with 7 boards in 14 mintues, hitting just twice on 11 attempts.
