  • Why the Wranglers will win the championship this season. Yes, the Wranglers

Despite the franchise never so much as advancing to the playoffs, the Wranglers are poised to take League II by storm this season after the teams best season at 19-16, just missing the playoffs. The team closed out the season with a 12-6 record with the combination of League MVP Tyrone Hamel and 3-time all-star center Kent Himes leading the way.

They stormed through the team tournament despite perhaps the toughest schedule, posting a 3-1 record destroying the Paladins, Rhinos and Ice Monkeys before losing to the Razors. All this despite not having guards.

So what makes this season different? Well the Wranglers will return there core of Hamel, Himes, Cody Linville who came on very strong towards the end of the season signing a new two season contract and Malik Dullen, the franchises first overall pick, who is looking to bounce back from a poor season. Along with these guys, they have a total of 3, count 'em THREE first round draft picks this season including the 3rd and 4th picks. The draft is stacked with solid guards coming in, and the Wranglers should be able to snag at least 2 good prospects to solidify the back court.

If the team can stay healthy as they did last season, they should be the team to beat in season 4 of Leauge II.
