    The Eclipse showed no mercy to the Moles in the second preseason game of the season for both teams. The 68-27 halftime stomping let the League know what they can expect on both the offensive and defensive sides from the defending champs. They finished the game with a 64 point win led by Armand Whyman who scored 26 with 11 boards.

    This seasons Slash v Eclipse rivalry has the teams in usual fashion squaring off at the top of the standings. Including this game and the past 3 regular season matchups have the teams coming in at a combined 116-24 (81%) record with the winning the last regular season meeting by 6 and the Eclipse winning the prior 2.

    The Slash have won the last 3 matchups including playoffs however where the teams met in the championship game. The Eclipse of course are the reigning champs going on to win last season become the first time to take multiple championships in League II while breaking the record for regular season wins with 32.

    The Slash are led by All-Stars Evan Wile and Cliff Labbe, Rawdon Connard and Gregorio Yule with once again perhaps the deepest bench in the league, while the Eclipse come in with All-Stars Jake Lomeli and Caleb Shedd and former All-Star Armand Whyman with the defensive terrors All-Defender Andy Fredricks and Michael Mattox.

    Both teams feature high-flying offensives with the Eclipse having a better outside game. Both teams are turning the ball over just 12 times a game, however the Eclipse come in with one of the best defenses in the league.

    The Eclipse have been terrorizing the league despite losing League MVP Jamison Bomberger while the Slash have remained quite the force as usual despite reworking the team coming into the season and even during it.

    It was quite the match between the Eclipse and Diamonds with the Eclipse squeaking out the win on a Michael Mattox jumper with no time left 118-117. That ends the Diamonds franchise best 11 game win streak. Armand Whyman continued his career season scoring 29 to lead the way. Collin Trotter scored 22 with 12 assists in the victory.

    The win however came at a cost, Marion Olp becomes the 2nd starter on the team to go down with injury joining Garrett Blosser in missing the remainder of the season.

  • Whyman notches career high 42 in Eclipse perfect start

    It was another clinic put on by the Eclipse beating the Cloud 104-78 with Armand Whyman scoring a career and season 6 best 42 points which is also the 2nd highest total in Eclipse history. Donald Houser for the 2nd straight game tied a franchise best 16 assists as the Eclipse remain the only team unbeaten in the early goings this season. They held Jared Isaacs to just 13 points as the Eclipse defense held the Cloud to 40% from the field.

    It wasn't without a big loss however, starting guard Garret Blosser went down very early with a hamstring injury which may cost him the rest of the season.

    The Eclipse have reached a deal with the Wasps that will send Neville Lea, and Wesley Orta to the Wasps in exchange for Armand Whyman, and Stamford Porcaro.

    Lea averaged 13.2 PPG, 1.4 rebounds and 6.0 assists in 28.1 minutes per game. Orta averaged 16.2 PPG, 5.5 rebounds and 3.7 assists in 32.6 minutes per game. Whyman averaged 22.4 PPG, 6.7 rebounds and 1.3 assists in 36.1 minutes per game. Porcaro averaged 4.0 PPG, 6.4 rebounds and 8.3 assists in 33.2 minutes per game.

Earl Wilt continued his brilliant run with the Wasps scoring 26 with 10 boards while Armand Whyman scored 27 with 6 boards in the loss. The Wasps will still make the playoffs, but drop a seed to #3 and will face the Wranglers in round one.

    The Wasps continue to turn heads with another win, 102-96 over the Badgers. Armand Whyman was the high scorer with 34 and 8 rebounds as the Wasps roll to 5-1, easily the best start in franchise history, and just 3 wins short of their 8 last season.

    After 6 straight losses, the longest drought of their season, the Wasps finallly got over the hump defeating the Slash 106-98 in a game that saw the Slash take the lead with just 3 minutes left. However the Wasps scrambled and put a string of 8 straight points together to close the game out. The win gives them 9 on the season, 1 more than they finished with last season as rookie coach Ill Jackson and 1st team pick Dudley Cronin have the team in the best shape they have been in. Cronin missed a triple double scoring 10 points with 8 boards and 9 assists while gunner Armand Whyman scored 28 on 10 of 16 shooting.

  • Augustine,1st round draft pick traded to Cobras from Wasps for Whyman

    The Wasps have reached a deal with the Cobras that will send Carson Augustine, and a season 4, 1st round draft pick to the Cobras in exchange for Armand Whyman.

    Augustine averaged 18.6 PPG, 5.4 rebounds and 3.3 assists in 35.9 minutes per game. Whyman averaged 23.5 PPG, 6.9 rebounds and 0.9 assists in 35.5 minutes per game.

  • Ice Monkeys musle past Cobras on the road

    Once again led by Wilfred Shobe who scored 29 with 8 boards and 6 assists, the Ice Monkeys continue to look solid now at 4-2. It was a pretty tight game throughout and the Cobras had the game tied with just over a minute to go, but after a 3-pointer by Ike Medina and layup from Virgil Fowle, the Ice Monkeys wrapped it up winning 116-109. The Cobras team leader Armand Whyman was limited in minutes fouling out in the 4th after 20 points in 21 minutes. Mohammed Lemaster poured in 22 with 11 boards in the losing cause.

  • Cobras overcome 22 point lead to win 3rd straight

    The Badgers led for nearly the entire game going up by as much as 22 in the 2nd quarter in which the Cobras could muster just 9 points. The Cobras came roaring back scoring 38 points in the 3rd and limiting the Badgers to just 9 in the 4th to win the game by 12 points. Armand Whyman played 44 minutes leading all scorers with 31 points and 9 rebounds in the win.

  • Whyman scores career best 35 in win

    It was Cobras all game long crushing the Meteors 104-75. Armand Whyman scored 35 points in the victory to lead all scores with his new career high. Al Pandolfo added 20 points with 6 boards and 5 assists.

  • Wolves defeat Cobras in epic 3 overtime battle!

    It seemed the Cobras had control of the game leading by as much as 13, but when it came crunch time, the determined Wolves gave the Cobras a good run and tied the game up on free throws at 90-90. The Cobras Al Pandolfo turned the ball over with 2 seconds left on the clock and the game went to overtime.

    In OT, the teams traded shots when it seemed Trent Ewert's jumper to put the Wolves up by 3 with 7 seconds left was going to be the clincher... it wasn't meant to be as Mickey Swilling hit the running three, his only three of the game as time ran out to tie the game at 100.

    In double OT it was more of the same, blow for blow... Trent Ewert once again hit a shot to even the game at 110 with 1 second left. The Cobras Jae Larry had a look at the basket but missed the hook shot.

    In triple OT, it was the Wolves finally taking control of the game building their largest lead of the game up four. The final 2 minutes saw multiple turnovers, but no scoring as the game stagnated at 118-114 until the final seconds when Armand Whyman layed it in for two, but time would wind down and the Wolves go on to their league record 8th straight win.

    Cole Lemus played 52 minutes and scored 21 points with 15 boards. Darnell Proffitt continued his great run scoring 34 points in 51 minutes. Carson Rutledge scored 6 with 11 assists and 13 rebounds.

  • Cobras win big in Whyman's return

    Armand Whyman returned from a 3 game injury absence to score 30 points in the Cobras 17 point win over the Diamonds. Jae Larry led the way for the Cobras with a brilliant performance scoring 24 points with 18 boards.

    The only bright spot for the Diamonds was Brady Preston's near triple double including 19 points, 11 rebounds and 8 assists.

  • Cobras easily handle Slash without Whyman

    It was expected to be an easy win for the Slash who had been playing very well as of late against the Armand Whymanless Cobras who is expected to miss a few more games. Jae Larry was big with 14 boards and 12 points, while Tom Barringer scored 25 points to lead all scores with 6 rebounds.

    The Cobras led by as much as 24 before transitioning to their backups and winning 87-76.
