Slash Retooling
It's been quite a merry-go-round for the Slash this season under GM lasstr8. As the team sits trying desperately to surpass the franchises most wins of 15 in the 1st season, they have built a team around prize catch Christopher Stovall. However, the team has changed drastically from the team he was surrounded by last season, and continues to change with the most recent addition of Gary Ladd.
Ladd, a former #1 pick and rookie of the season, 2-time all-star and 2-time All-League selection, has been a hold out for the better part of the season, finally persuaded to join the Slash for a long term contract as they will now have a decent shot to make the playoffs for the first time in team history.
Other notable changes include Caleb Weatherspoon in and out from the Cloud, Denis Rosa and Stan Villano to the Cloud, Michael Mattox and Cole Lemus in from the Wasps, Nathaniel Kahle and Gonzalo Calpin gone, Brandon Siva gone, Boone Rehrer and Blaine Hannon in from the Wranglers, Hannon then back out. Chester Keene, Jeffry Brewington and future 1st round picks to bring crowd favorite Truman Scanlon back from the Cheery O's... among others.
Add to this the multitude of free agent pickups along with top 10 draft pick guards Isar Tellefsen and Isod Safron. Quite a different team from just a season ago, with several different lineups... the only constant being Stovall. It remains to be seen if GM lasstr8 settles on this roster, and if in fact he can even hold onto the job next season... how the season plays out should decide.
