  • Moles barely get by Lizards to go over .500

Several times it seemed the Moles had the game put away, but just couldn't close ending up in OT against the Lizards, who beat them previously on the road this season. Once in OT, the Moles went on a scoring frenzy with 18 in the 5 minute extra quarter to win 117-111.

Kent Noll led the scoring with 26, but Eli Reyes was the teams weapon, starting just his 3rd game of the season, but notching his 3rd career triple double with 14 points, 13 boards, 16 assists while going an usually good 5 for 5 from the line. Hiram Atkins scored 22 with 12 boards while Brendan Spain put in 22 with 5 assists.

Next up is the Badger rematch who the Moles lost to by 19 earlier in the season.

  • Moles score big victory over Slash

There was no better time to pull out a victory after the up/down season the Moles have had. They defeated the Slash 99-87 to pull even at 7-7. It wasn't their best game by any stretch, but the defense held the Slash to their lowest ouput in over 40 games. Eli Reyes was great off the bench with 10 points, 13 boards and 6 assists while Hiram Atkins got going late to finish with 10 boards and 21 points.

  • Moles win sqeaker on road over Cloud

It's been a tough go so far this season for the Moles, a team everyone thought would easily be championship contenders. However they have worked overtime just to get to .500 after their come from behind win over the Cloud 104-100. The game saw 11 lead changes including 8 ties with the Cloud leading by as much as 9 in the 4th quarter. Kent Noll however turned it on down the stretch with 2 clutch three pointers finishing with 31 points while Hiram Atkins steady hand kept the team in the game all along, scoring 34, his highest total since game 2 of last season.

The team hosts Jeffry Brewington and the always formidable 4-2 Cheery O's next outting.

  • Moles win in offensive display vs Fire Ants

Hiram Atkins wasted no time in a vintage 31 point outing vs the Fire Ants where he hit 6 three pointers to lead the Moles 133-112 in the win. Kent Noll suffered at the line, but hit 4 of 5 from downtown where the team tied a franchise record with 15 three pointers made. Noll had 27. Corbin Jacko was also on point despite 7 turnovers scoring 19 points, with 13 boards and a huge career high 7 assists. Buford Lashley was perfect in his 12 minutes of play going 5 of 5 for 10 points.

The team contained Harland Brenneman holding him to 6 points on 1 of 4 shooting, however Gregory Cushing was dazzling with 24 points, 9 assists and 5 boards leading the Fire Ants to a 11 of 17 shooting from the perimeter which of course was not enough.

The Moles take their 2 game win streak next to the Lizards who are struggling at 0-3.

It was a slow start for the Moles, shooting horribly to fall behind by 13 to the Impact. The second half however was a different story as the team synced, and led by Hiram Atkins tallied to win by 5. Hiram Atkins led the way with 26 points and some key perimeter shots. Brendan Spain also was crucial down the stretch, dishing 10 assists and not a single turnover to go with his 15 points.

The Moles face the Cloud to close out the season. They must win and hope the Slash lose their final 2 games to pick up the #1 spot heading into the playoffs.

  • Moles put up huge 4th quarter to beat Jacks

The Moles fell down by as much as 14 to the Jacks, trailing most of the game as team just could not find their shot. Dirk Roberson however kept them in the game putting up monster number in his best game of the season, 22 points, 17 boards and 4 blocks. Kent Noll lit fire in the 4th, tying his season high with 36 points while Hiram Atkins managed 22 with 8 boards. The team couldn't miss from the arc in the 4th outscoring the Jacks 40-16 on their way to a 16 point win.

The team had no answer for the Jacks Terrence Mcniff who had a field day scoring 30 including 5 three pointers, but that wasn't enough as the Jacks continue their worst season in history standings-wise.

The Moles on the other hand still have a slim chance to secure the #1 spot in the playoffs if they can win out versus the Impact and Cloud, and hope the Slash lose 2 of their next 3 contests.

  • Moles crush Fire Ants by 54

In a lopsided game from the jump, the Moles kept atop the standings with their 131-77 dismantling of the Fire Ants to sweep the season series. Kent Noll scored 28 with 8 assists while Hiram Atkins led the way with a season-high 38 and 9 boards. They face the Broncos on the road who they beat by just 3 earlier.

  • Good win for Moles despite Injuries

It seemed it would all go wrong for the Moles, going into the game missing Kent Nolls, then not being able to stop the onslaught from the Wranglers for the first half, then Corbin Jacko going down to injury in the 2nd. The Moles however were able to rally, outscoring the Wranglers 57-42 in the second half to hold on to a 10 point win. It wasn't pretty at all, but the defense held strong in the end limiting Tyrone Hamel, Kent Himes and Azriel Gerloff's scoring and Hiram Atkins hitting key shots down the stretch to win their 3rd straight and take sole possession of 1st in the standings once again.

They face the struggling Cobras next where they hope Jacko and Noll can return from injury. Previously they defeated the team by 29 points.

  • Moles get back on track at home over Ice Monkeys

The Moles rebounded from their Eclipse loss to defeat the Ice Monkeys by 29 with a huge second half to stay tied for the league lead in the standings at 14-4 with the aforementioned Eclipse.

Kent Noll led the team with 31 points and 8 assists with Hiram Atkins scoring 27 with 8 boards. Brendan Spain continues to show huge improvement this season getting his 7th start to score 18 with 7 assists on 7 of 12 shooting.

The team was able to stifle the Ice Monkeys Jamison Bomberger in the second half limiting him to 18 points for the game and just 7 boards. Tommie Drey led the team with 21 points.

  • Tough loss to Diamonds for Moles

The Moles committed a franchise worst 28 turnovers to fall to the Diamonds by 3 points. Kent Noll fouled out early in the 4th after being in foul trouble the entire game to set the tone for the loss despite leading by 19 early in the 2nd. Hiram Atkins led the team with 25 while Dirk Roberson scored 17 with 11 boards. The Diamonds big 3 stepped up with last season's #1 pick Abharan Goldman scoring 27 with 6 boards. Next should be an easier matchup as they take on the struggling Terriers at 1-8.

  • Moles survive battle to beat Broncos

It was a slugfest as the Moles entertained the Broncos playing to a 106-103 win for the Moles. In the first half, it seemed both teams wouldn't miss playing to a 61-60 Broncos lead, however the second half was defensive with the teams switching leads 18 times and Bradly Suniga missing a 3-pointer to send the game to OT.

Hiram Atkins was hot in the 4th finishing with a team-high 28, while Jeffery Espy dished a new franchise record 17 assists. Dirk Roberson got off to a quick start finishing with a season-high tying 19 points with 7 boards.

For the Broncos, Alden Swoffer proved unstoppable scoring 31 initially hitting 9 of 10 field goals on his way to 13 of 19. The Moles next travel to the injury-ridden Meteors who are on a 3 game skid, but should return Jose Teske to the lineup.

  • Moles put on clinic dismantling Wasps

Very consistent from beginning to end, the Moles played like expected dominating the Wasps 138-76. They pulled in 57 boards to the Wasps 24 while shooting 53% to 24%. Kent Noll scored 31 with 8 assists, Hiram Atkins scored 39 with 7 boards and Jeffery Espy dished 14 assists with just 2 turnovers. Both Dirk Roberson and Corbin Jacko had double-doubles. Jacko finally put in a decent game for the first time in his early career even going back to preseason. He scored 26 on 9 of 19 with 16 boards.

They held the Wasps Neville Lea to just 2 points, the fewest in a game since his rookie season. The Moles face a solid test against the 2-0 Lizards tomorrow.

  • Moles Ready To Roll

Forward Corbin Jacko joins the Moles as the most highly anticipated rookies in franchise history after the team lucked out with the #1 pick overall. The Moles are placing their hopes of the future on his young shoulders, surrounding him with proven talent on all sides.

Unfortunately the preseason didn't meet the high expectations the team or fans had despite getting the most playing time. He scored a solid 15.8ppg in 31mpg, but shot just 41.5% from the floor, easily the worst of the players in the main rotation. He did show huge promise from the line and on the defensive side which is something the team is very happy with. They hope he's able to gel with his all-star caliber teammates as the season gets under way.

The Moles return former all-star, and previous League II #1 overall pick Kent Noll who will play shooting guard, who will be expected to lead the team in scoring and return to his all-star form. The other starter being returned is fellow lifetime Mole and Team MVP forward Hiram Atkins who brings a similar skillset to the table, but will be even more of a shooter.

The Moles bring in two key aquisitions... from the Terriers, guard Jeffery Espy to run the offense. He is not expected to do any bulk scoring, but should be solid at the point. The other huge aquisition via free agency is former Jack Dirk Roberson to give a huge bump in inside presence. The 3-time all-star and 2-time all-league selection was the most highly saught after center this season, and rejoins his former teammate Knoll with a new 4 season, 68m contract. He shores up what they hope will be the best defense in the league.

The Moles do lose a couple of key players in guard  who had spent his entire career with the team, and center Virgil Fowle who's played a major role the previous two seasons.

Coach Kingpin advises that anything less than a championship will not be tolerated this season. The Moles look to return to the playoffs after missing it for the first time in franchise history last season with a 16-19 record.

  • Hiram Atkins named Team MVP

Hiram Atkins has won the Team MVP award for the 4th Moles season.

  • Moles play spoiler to Wasps playoff seeding

The Moles fell behind by 16 late, but roared back to send the game to OT and win 127-119, outscoring the Wasps 12-4 in the extra minutes. Hiram Atkins scored 25 with 12 boards while Kent Noll dished 8 assists in the win. Earl Wilt continued his brilliant run with the Wasps scoring 26 with 10 boards while Armand Whyman scored 27 with 6 boards in the loss. The Wasps will still make the playoffs, but drop a seed to #3 and will face the Wranglers in round one.

  • Moles back on track

It looks like the Moles have somewhat righted the wrongs that plagued them for 5 straight losses, now with their 3rd straight win over the current champion Meteors by 44 points. Imrich Gelvin scored 13 with 17 boards. Hiram Atkins scored a game-high 27 points with 13 boards. Kent Noll chipped in 22 with 5 steals.

The Meteors are scratching their heads as Coach Hasheem's team is putting up franchise worst numbers nearly across the board despite returning the same championship team they had last season.

  • Moles slip for first loss of the season

Things were pretty much neck-and-neck until minutes left in the 4th quarter when the Wolves pulled away from the Moles to win 114-103. The Moles loss was their first of the season while the Wolves notch their 4th straight win to improve to 4-1.

Hiram Atkins was solid from the perimeter early on, finishing  with 5 three pointers and 27 points. Kent Noll cooled off after a smoking hot start to the season finishing with 22 points, but a career high 7 steals. Brendan Spain had a career game off the bench scoring 25 points with 5 assists.

For the Wolves, Jose Teske led the way with 26 points, 6 assists and 5 boards, while Trent Ewert had another big game off the bench scoring 25 on 10 of 14 shooting with 5 assists.

  • With flying colors

The Moles took on the Wranglers which was expected to be a hard fought contest... and it was till the 1st quarter ended. For the first time in franchise history, the Moles begin the season 3-0 and the performances have been utter dominance. They held the Wranglers to 78 points, beating them by 40. This after crushing the Jacks by 36 and the Terriers by 29.

Hiram Atkins played one of his best games of his career with 38 points and 17 boards while Kent Noll put in 35 with 8 assists and 2 blocks. Eli Reyes put in another solid game as well with 9 points, 8 boards and 9 assists while Imrich Gelvin pulled down 16 boards.

They held Tyrone Hamel to just 10 points with 11 boards while the Wranglers leading scorer, rookie Azriel Gerloff could muster up just 14 points.

  • Moles become highest ranked team bounced

Despite a desperate 4th quarter flurry to come back and tie the game at 110, the Moles, the 4th seed were dropped by the #13 Asteroids 116-112. Hiram Atkins had another terrific game with 29 points and 14 boards, but Clarence Wertz off the bench just wasn't being stopped on his way to 26 with 6 boards. The Asteroids will face the Razors/Badgers game winner.

  • Moles advance in to round 2 with win over Cheery O's

The Moles played a solid game defeating the Cheery O's in round one to advance, winning the game at the perimeter hitting 9 of 20 shots. Hiram Atkins led the team with 34 points, going 6 of 8 from downtown. They face the winner of Astroids vs Edge game in round 2.

  • Moles beat Rosa-less Impact on road

A must win game for the Moles and they delivered... by 22 point, 108-86 over the Impact for the 2nd time this season. The Impact were without Morris Rosa, the reigning MVP who figures to be done for the season after injury. Hiram Atkins scored 23 with 14 boards to pace the Moles. They face the Lizards at home next game in what will be the biggest and most important game for the Moles in their efforts to make the playoffs for the 3rd straight season under coach Kingpin. They defeated the Lizards in the last outing 118-100.

  • Moles face Impact in must win game

The Impact weren't too hot of a team to begin with, but now things cool off even more, as $29mil man Morris Rosa is sidelined with a calf injury for what may be the season remainder. Modesto Cogan will be running the show for the team, a solid point guard.. along with 2nd season sharp shooter Matt Tames at forward.

The Moles have been getting more consistent play from Hiram Atkins late, and Kent Noll seems to be steadying for the season. The Moles however would love to get more touches for Eli Reyes who has been the teams real catalyst since taking over the starting job mid season.

  • Moles crush Diamonds sending team to 13th straight loss

It looked like a playground match for the Moles as they hit 56% from the field, the highest this season for 128 points, also a season high. Hiram Atkins scored 32 with 9 boards Kent Noll scored 30 before fouling out, Vince Varney scored 17 and 10 boards while Eli Reyes was yet again just shy of a triple double with 8 points, 11 boards and 13 assists.

The Diamonds were led by Collin Trotter's 44 points, his career, and franchise record which bested his own record of 40 set this season as well. However the Diamonds fell to their 13th straight loss, now just 1 shy of the all time record set by the Wasps in season 1.

  • Moles strive for 6th straight

The Moles bring their 5 game win streak home against the Fire Ants trying to tie a franchise record 6th straight win which was accomplished in season 1. The Fire Ants provide a pretty good opportunity for the feat, as the team has been a bottom dweller pretty much all season long.

The Moles have been relying heavily on Hiram Atkins as the team lead as Kent Noll has been slow to start the past few games. Eli Reyes has been coming on very strong, a triple-double threat ever since he was inserted into the starting lineup over Buford Lashley who has been struggling.

The game is crucial for the Moles as they try to ease back into a tightly contested 8th playoff spot.

  • Solid win for Moles on road vs Ice Monkeys

The Moles sent the Ice Monkeys to their franchise tying record 3rd straight loss. On the road no less, 100-97, fending off the team in a game that came down to the Ice Monkeys missing a game tying 3 pointer. The downfall for the Ice Monkeys was their unusually poor inside shooting at 37%, but were able to stay close thanks to the terrible free throw shooting by the Moles. A record low .556% going 15 of 27.

Eli Reyes notched his second career triple-double scoring 13 with 11 boards and 12 assists after flirting with it the past several games. Hiram Atkins again led the team with 25 points going 8 of 14.

  • Moles end longest losing streak in team history

It's just what the doctor ordered, a win against a tough Wranglers team. The Moles 5 game losing streak, longest in franchise history is finally over. The team battled back after trailing most of the game to finally take and keep the lead for good with under 4 minutes left in the game. Hiram Atkins took the reigns once again to lead the team with 20 points and 11 boards, while Eli Reyes continued to provide a spark with 14 boards and 8 assists.

Continuing their terrific play this season, Tyrone Hamel and Kent Himes held the Wranglers afloat with Hamel scoring a game high and season average of 28 with 11 boards while Himes scored 23 with 13 rebounds.

The Moles are now a win under .500 going into a tough game vs the 15-10 Ice Monkeys who are looking to snap a 2 game losing streak of their own.

  • Wolves get best of Moles in hard fought OT game

It was a game to see as the Wolves increased their record at home to 9-1 defeating the Moles 115-113 on a last second shot by Dudley Cronin. The Moles made a late charge getting within striking distance in the final minutes of regulation when Vince Varney hit a huge 3 pointer, his only field goal of the game to tie it up at 105 to send the game to OT. It was back and forth in OT, but the Wolves prevailed as time hit 0:00 to win by two.

Kent Noll scored a game-high 30 points with 6 assists and 6 steals. Hiram Atkins had another double-double with 18 points and 12 boards. Edward Furbee scored 17 points with 6 boards and 7 assists off the bench.

For the Wolves Trent Ewert scored 26 with 5 assists. Dudley Cronin scored 10 with 12 assists while Cole Lemus scored 20 with 10 boards off the bench.

  • Big Test for the Moles as they face Wolves on the Road

The Moles have finally hit their stride winning 3 games in a row, they will try to make it 4 against the Wolves on the road. It would be their longest streak since season 1. The Wolves are atop the standings at 14-5 while the Moles sit at 11-8, however according to the last 4 power rankings, the teams rank 1 and 2 as the favorites for the championship.

The Moles have been getting sensational play from Hiram Atkins lately, while perennial all-star Kent Noll has simmered a bit after a red hot start to the season. Vince Varney has been solid in what could prove to be his finest season to round out the cornerstones of the team.

For the Wolves, recently benched Jose Teske leads the team with 16+ ppg and is their leading FT and 3P option, however his sporadic play midseason has many wondering if he will rebound even in time for playoffs. Dudley Cronin has been running the offense with Trent Ewert playing well and positive play from rookie Ridge Brydell.

It should be an intense and interesting matchup between the two teams and a barameter especially for the Moles who lost opening night this season at home to the Wolves 113-102.

  • Moles hit stride with 3rd straight win

It was like old times where Hiram Atkins was the team lead and in control. He notched a double-double scoring 26 with 12 boards as the Moles cruised to a 96-79 victory over the Wasps. The Moles aare now 3 games over .500, their best mark so far this season. Next is a tough matchup vs the top ranked Wolves.

  • Eclipse collapse in 4th, Moles hit double digit wins

The Moles jumped out to a big lead early in the 1st quarter, but both teams slumped in the 2nd, with the Eclipse outscoring the Moles 14-7. The game was back and forth until the 4th when the Moles launched into a 24-6 4th quarter. Hiram Atkins notched a double-double with 21 points and 11 boards while Kent Noll scored 24 to lead the team. Vince Varney also put in a double-double with 13 and 13.

For the Eclipse, Andy Fredricks ended up being the high scorer with just 13 points. Miquel Windish put up his 2nd straight double-double with 10 points and 12 rebounds.

  • Eclipse venture into Moles Stadium for championship rematch

Last season it was quite a different story as both teams were well above .500 at the halfway point in the season. Currently both teams are still struggling to find their stride with the Moles at 9-8 and the Eclipse sitting at 7-11.

Kent Noll has hit a mid-season slump after a very fast start, so the Moles will be relying more on Hiram Atkins to take the load, while they have also been tinkering with the center position, as Virgil Fowle has been more consistent than his counterpart Edward Furbee.

For the Eclipse, Judson Ibarra has been struggling all season and found his way to the bench last game in favor of Carlton Poling who is having a solid season. Miquel Windish finally made his starting debut putting up a double-double with 16 points and 15 boards. Stan Villano backed him up after a string of bad performances.

If the Moles are able to pull this one out, it will be because of the perimeter game. If the Eclipse take it, it will be because they kept their turnovers low.

  • Moles escape Meteor comeback to win by 2

It seemed the Moles were smooth sailing on the road against the Meteors, but the last half saw their 17 point lead evaporate as the Meteors closed to within 2 several times and seemed about ready to strike at any moment. Fortunately the Moles were able to keep ahead on the strength of a huge performance from Hiram Atkins scoring 24 with 13 boards, Virgil Fowle scoring 17 with 10 boards and Kent Noll scoring 27 with 7 assists and 5 steals.

  • Atkins injured, will miss at least 3 games.

  • Ready to Noll

Kent Noll, the Moles prize pick up during the offseason has high hopes for the team this season. Noll was the #1 pick overall in the premiere of League II, going to the Cheery O's, leading them to the playoffs, and winning the playoff MVP award. But they fell short, losing in the championship game to the Cloud.

His next season, he wound up on the overloaded Jacks roster, heavily favored to win the season 2 title. They made the playoffs, but this time he and the Jack would be outmatched by the eventual champion Eclipse in the first round. Noll's numbers would suffer as the team did not have a central figure as the team's leader.

This time, Noll joins the Moles who are no strangers to contending for the championship. In season one the Moles were defeated in round 2 of the playoffs by the eventual champion Cloud. And last season after starting out 16-8, they faltered going 3-8, stumbling into the playoffs, getting their feet back, but faltering again in the championship to the Eclipse.

This season, Noll is the team's centerpiece as previous Moles MVP  Hiram Atkins will play second fiddle. Noll is surrounded by a solid group of players with fellow guard Vince Varney, newly aquired center  Edward Furbee who may be the best passing big man in the league, two time All-Star Atkins and always high-scoring forward Buford Lashley.

With that lineup, Moles coach Tha Kingpin has the team ready to roll into their 3rd straight playoffs and finally get over the championship series hump.

  • Cheery O's prevail in dramatic OT

What an incredible game between the Cheery O's and Moles as the team slugged it out into overtime with the Cheery O's remaining undefeated at 2-0 and a 120-119 win. Christopher Stovall fought off double teams all game long to finish with a game-high 33 points and 11 boards in the win. Kent Noll was big again for the Moles in the loss scoring 28 points and dishing a career high 8 assists. Edward Furbee neared a triple double with a career high 9 assists with 10 boards and 12 points. Buford Lashley scored 29 points. Hiram Atkins fouled out in the 4th after 14 points.

  • Moles rally to beat Wolves on strength of Noll's 37

It way a play catch up type game for the Moles coming from behind 10 points at the half and by as much as 15 beforehand to best the Wolves 113-102. The team finally came alive in teh 4th quarter outscoring the Wolves 31-18 with Kent Noll hitting clutch 3 pointers along the way to lead all scores with 37 points including 7 three pointers. Hiram Atkins scored 19 with 12 boards while Vince Varney scored 27 with 8 boards and 5 assists.

The team played a tough Wolves team led by 2nd season player Dudley Cronin who was unstoppable with 31 points on 13 of 17 shooting, 8 boards and 5 steals. Next up for the Moles will be another tough matchup against the Cheery O's.

  • Hiram Atkins named Team MVP

Congratulations to Hiram Atkins on winning the Moles Team MVP award for Season 2.

  • Lizards fail to make up for Deavers absence

The Moles won in statement fashion, dominating the Lizards handing the team their first loss of the postseason to tie the series at 1.   Hiram Atkins finally broke out and played his finest game of the postseason scoring 36 points with 10 rebounds. Next game goes back to the Lizards home court.

  • Moles put together complete game to beat Diamonds and go up 2-0

The Moles played well from start to finish defeating the Diamonds to take a 2-0 series lead in the first round of the playoffs. Both Hiram Atkins and Joe Gilliland turned in double-doubles while Vince Varney scored 28 with 9 boards and 5 assists in the win. They kept Cliff Labbe at bay, limiting him to just 14 with 3 boards. The series goes back to the Diamonds home as they attempt their first franchise win to stay alive in the playoffs.

  • Moles have no problem taking game 1

The Moles have been one of the most inconsistent teams this season, but they made easy work of the Diamonds taking game 1 108-101 with contributions from everyone  except the one who is normally the teams savior, Hiram Atkins, he only scored 4 points int 18 minutes. The other 4 starters scored at least 20 points with Buford Lashley scoring 31 and Joe Gilliland pulling in 14 boards. For the Diamonds, Cliff Labbe scored 31 with 11 boards while Collin Trotter scored 20 with 10 boards

  • Diamonds beat Moles handedly

The Diamonds continue to play very well ousting the Moles 131-107 to improve to 12-6 on the season and dropping the Moles to 11-7. The Diamonds got contributions from their big 3 Brady Preston with 25 and 8 boards, Cliff Labbe with 32 and 10 boards, Collin Trotter with 27 and 9 boards and then a big game from the 5th pick, rookie Hunter Tiller who scored a new career high 23 points with 8 boards.

For the Moles, Hiram Atkins struggled to just 6 points with 8 boards while a surprise performance from backup center Joe Gilliland was a welcome surprise scoring 31 points with 8 boards in the loss.

  • Moles win, take advantage of Impact's injured stars

The Moles fresh off their trading of Trevor Skabo and Elbert Hewgley to the Meteors, defeated the Impact 103-91 to improve to a league best 8-2. The Impacts Jose Teske was injured within the first period, after scoring 8, Morris Rosa went down with a knee injury in the 4th just after the team was mounting a comeback from their 18 point deficit.

Newly minted Mole Buford Lashley scored 15 on 5 of 12 shooting in his Mole debut. Hiram Atkins led the team with 28 points and 13 boards. Vince Varney scored 18 with 6 boards in his increased role.

  • Moles find a way to beat the Wranglers

The close calls continue for the Moles this time sending what seemed like a sure loss into overtime, and then a win by 6 points over the Wranglers 98-92. The Moles were down by 11 with 5 minutes in the game, but mounted a subtle comeback as the Wranglers couldn't find their shot. In OT, it was all Moles, outscoring the Wranglers 17-11 in the extra period.

Edwin Schenk was on pount scoring 27 points with 14 boards. Hiram Atkins was solid with 31 and 7 boards. Trevor Skabo struggled greatly, but opened OT with 2 huge three pointers to set the tempo.

For the Wranglers, the ever consistent Malik Dullen put in 26 points with 12 boards.

  • Too little too late for Moles in final minutes

The Moles trailed throughout most of the game as the dreadful shooting by both teams were on display. Finally after a margin of 10 or more throughout most of the second half, the Moles finally mounted somewhat a comeback against the Terriers getting as close as within one point, 88-89 with under a minute. However it wasn't meant to be as Terriers cruised home for a 4 point win. Hiram Atkins had a dreadful game hitting 1 of 6 from downtown with 11 points and 10 boards. Trevor Skabo was the high man with 22 points and 6 boards. Edwin Schenk also struggled to 7 points with 7 boards on 3 of 13 shooting... quite a poor performance for last seasons field goal percentage leader.

Next up for the Moles are the Wranglers, who will present a good matchup as well.

  • Moles too much for Wolves

The Moles remained one of the teams to beat in League II, defeating the Wolves 102-91 to go to 5-1, while the struggling Wolves drop to 1-5. Hiram Atkins continued to be on point scoring 29 with 12 rebounds and a big 6 for 6 from downtown. Trevor Skabo scored 25 while Edwin Schenk scored 21 with 10 boards before fouling out.

  • Impressive showing for Hewgley in Moles debut

The Moles defeated the Badgers 101-88 with the Moles taking the lead in the 2nd half and never looking back. The trade for Elbert Hewgley has been a question mark since he got to the team from the Impact. He was expected to fill the point guard void for the team, but given his problematic shooting, doubtful that he could be too effective. This game proved otherwise... and then some. Hewgley exploded for 31 points on 10 of 21 shooting with 8 assists in the contest giving the Moles fans quite the excitement for the upcoming season if he can maintain his sensational play. Team MVP and All-star Hiram Atkins led all scores with 32 points with 10 boards.

For the Badgers, the presence of Tyrone Hamel was felt, as they could only muster 88 points.  Gregorio Yule led the team with a near triple-double scoring 21 with 8 boards and 11 assists.

  • Moles gear up for 2nd preseason game

The Moles play their 2nd preseason game against the Terriers after dropping their first game to the defending champions Cloud. Edmund Enos will get the start this time around, but the team has no illusions, as All-Star Edwin Schenk will be the teams starter going into the regular season. The main focus for the game will be on their big offseason aquisition of Elbert Hewgley from the Impact who they brought in to control the offense while running the point. A position they sorely missed last season. The only drawback is that he is a dismal shooter, an area the team hopes to offset onto their main scorers Hiram Atkins, Trevor Skabo and Schenk. If he can distribute, minimize turnovers and find smart shots, the team will have found their answer.

Game 3 will be back home for the Moles where they are expected to win.

  • Rare loss at home send Ice Monkeys Packing

The Ice Monkeys could boast the best regular season home winning percentage with a 15-3 record, but one of those losses came to the Moles. And so it goes again, The Moles looking to close out the #7 seeded Ice Monkeys did so with a back and forth 107-99 victory ending the Ice Monkeys season after their great run into the playoffs 3 games to 1.
