The Wranglers finish 19-16 for the 3rd straight season, and will land the #8 seed with a trip to play the Slash. Last season they were bested in the second round by the Cobras.

Good win for Moles despite Injuries
It seemed it would all go wrong for the Moles, going into the game missing Kent Nolls, then not being able to stop the onslaught from the Wranglers for the first half, then Corbin Jacko going down to injury in the 2nd. The Moles however were able to rally, outscoring the Wranglers 57-42 in the second half to hold on to a 10 point win. It wasn't pretty at all, but the defense held strong in the end limiting Tyrone Hamel, Kent Himes and Azriel Gerloff's scoring and Hiram Atkins hitting key shots down the stretch to win their 3rd straight and take sole possession of 1st in the standings once again.
They face the struggling Cobras next where they hope Jacko and Noll can return from injury. Previously they defeated the team by 29 points.

-
Another loss for the Wranglers
The Wranglers become the only winless team in the league despite the predictions to win a title after falling by 6 to the Wolves. This marks the teams worst start to a season as they fail to crack 100 once again. Tyrone Hamel led the way with 19 points, but got going too late to overcome the Wolves and Dudley Cronin's 25 points, 9 boards and 8 assists.
The Wolves improve to 3-1 with 3 wins in a row. The start is identical to last season before they rattled off a combined 7 wins in a row. It will be a tough feat to duplicate as they face the hottest team, the Moles at home tomorrow.
-
With flying colors

Why the Wranglers will win the championship this season. Yes, the Wranglers
Despite the franchise never so much as advancing to the playoffs, the Wranglers are poised to take League II by storm this season after the teams best season at 19-16, just missing the playoffs. The team closed out the season with a 12-6 record with the combination of League MVP Tyrone Hamel and 3-time all-star center Kent Himes leading the way.
They stormed through the team tournament despite perhaps the toughest schedule, posting a 3-1 record destroying the Paladins, Rhinos and Ice Monkeys before losing to the Razors. All this despite not having guards.
So what makes this season different? Well the Wranglers will return there core of Hamel, Himes, Cody Linville who came on very strong towards the end of the season signing a new two season contract and Malik Dullen, the franchises first overall pick, who is looking to bounce back from a poor season. Along with these guys, they have a total of 3, count 'em THREE first round draft picks this season including the 3rd and 4th picks. The draft is stacked with solid guards coming in, and the Wranglers should be able to snag at least 2 good prospects to solidify the back court.
If the team can stay healthy as they did last season, they should be the team to beat in season 4 of Leauge II.

Playoff race shaping up as League I heads into final round
The playoff race is nearly set, and it's looking like the Cloud, the reigning champs will be left out in the cold. They have folded running into the franchises worst stretch in history winning just once in their last 8 games.
Meanwhile the Impact are looking virtually invincible, the Jacks are still playing well even with Kent Noll out at least until the playoffs roll around, the Lizards trying to hold on while their star Tyrone Hamel comes back to the rotation, the Diamonds looking pretty well polished from all sides, the Eclipse surprising everyone by keeping up with the big dawgs, the Moles limping in trying to figure out where they went wrong, the Broncos and Meteors clinging on for dear life and of course the Cloud, currently on the outside looking in.
It should be quite a ride as some very crucial final games on the horizon as the regular season winds down!

Huge Implications for Lizards/Impact matchup
The leagues leading teams face off once again in a game that could determine the leagues top ranked team going into the playoffs. The Lizards come in with a 21-8 record and hold a 1-0 advantage over the Impact who come into the game as the hottest team and on a League I record 10 straight wins while sporting a 20-8 record. The Impact also boast last seasons League MVP Jose Teske and this seasons potential League MVP Morris Rosa. The Lizards of course are no slouchers either, with Tyrone Hamel playing outstanding and all the bench a team could want as the team attempts to reproduce their standing as the #1 seed heading into the playoffs as they were last season. It should be quite a spectacle to watch and what many are calling a championship preview matchup.
-
Back in front once again
The Lizards are once again in a familiar spot, leading the league in wins just as they did last season. Unfortunately they came up short in the playoff semi-finals despite being ranked #1 overall and top seeded as far as power rankings went. The team shuffled their lineup bringing in all-star and Badgers Team MVP Tyrone Hamel to be the face of the team while last season team MVP Genaro Deavers playing sidekick.
So far the changes have worked wonders as Hamel's 22+ ppg and 7+ rpg lead the team and the bench play couldn't be stronger. The team is leading the league again in scoring, assists and rebounding pulling in a whopping 48.1 boards a game. The team is 2nd three point percentage with 38.6%.
With the next opponents being the Battle, Meteors, Wolves, Terriers, Wranglers and Cobras, it's not out of the question for the team to set the league record for most wins in a row and then some.
-
Rollin' Lizards
The Lizards have been on a roll like never before winning their 7th straight contest to set the franchise record. They lead the league with a 17-5 record just a season after leading the league in the final standings with a 24-11 record. They defeated the Slash 99-97 Tyrone Hamel scoring 26 points and 12 boards while Broderick Kay scored 21 with 9 boards and 8 assists.
-
Lizards put on another show beating Wasps

Tyrone Hamel led the charge again scoring 23 points with 9 boards and 6 assists while Drew Hanes had a game high 27 with 10 boards in the win. The Lizards outrebounded the Wasps a whopping 54-30.
-
Lizards prove superior in marquee matchup vs Cloud

Broderick Kay dished off a new Lizards record, and league record tying 18 assists in the win. For the Cloud, Cecil Frueh scored 24 in the loss that saw the Cloud with their lowest output of the season at 76 points, which is the second lowest total in franchise history.
-
Hamel drives Lizards win
So far the move from the Badgers to the Lizards has paid off pretty well for Tyrone Hamel. He tore up the league in preseason, and that play carried over to the regular season as the Lizards fought off the Eclipse to win 100-90. Hamel pulled in a personal best 17 rebounds in the win and led the team along with Elbert Saucier with 22 points. Saucier also notched a double-double with 14 boards.
-
Hamel with sharp touch in Lizards preseason win
Tyrone Hamel may prove to be the missing link for the Lizards who came up short of the championship last season after finishing with the #1 seed overall. Hamel came over from the Badgers after an all-star and team-mvp season scoring 19.8ppg and 7.5rpg. He came out hot leading the Lizards to a 126-95 win over the Cobras scoring 32 points on 12 of 13 points. He joins Genaro Deavers and Drew Hanes as a 3rd scoring threat for the Lizards who should have no problem making another championship push this season.
