Coach Talk Pre Game 3
Nice game overall from the guys. Really starting to see which crews mesh together. Some players really defining their roles.
Playing with the idea of getting Denis Cagle the start with Dean Botelho as 6th man. I like how scrappy Cagle can be.
I think it is safe to say Jose Teske has shown himself as Team Captain from now on, he really showed how clutch he can be, bringing us to a near victory tonight.
Sebastian Heyer needs to just stay in his lane sometimes, seems to be trying to much, gotta play more team ball, former Captain.
And I am liking the option of Skabo as a clutch defender when I need some help, he'll probably be coming off the bench as well.
Gandy was pretty pedestrian tonight, not much noise from our 3 big men overall.
Moles are a stacked team, hope to face them again in more dire situations.

Meteoric Fall
One of the most intriguing story lines this season has been the reigning League II champion Meteors failing to launch. The team already has more losses than last season and is on pace for the worst record in franchise history. They have failed to win more than one game in a row and are battling with the Fire Ants to avoid being the league bottom-dwellers in the standings.
All this while every single starter was returned to the lineup. But maybe it's not so strange...
Perenial Team MVP Dean Botelho has been on a steady decline with his numbers, it will be interesting to see if the Meteors retain him after this season when his $17.8m contract is up.
Trevor Skabo came off a Playoff MVP season last season, to starting just 3 games this season.
Marshall Silvia, a lifelong solid role player for the team was put into the starting position for Skabo, but has struggled to fill his shoes.
Many thought center Homer Gandy would have a breakout season, but he has struggled to put up double digit points all season.
Point guad Elbert Hewgley has been all put invisible this season putting up low numbers across the board, and when he is not distributing the ball like he was expected to, the whole team struggles.
Shooting guard Sebastian Heyer continues to improve and is the only player that seems to be solid day in and day out, but he is not a player that the team can ride to victories.
Is Coach Hasheem's job in jeopardy after the disappointing season? So far it's likely that he will return, but things will have to be shaken up in Meteorville for him to keep the job beyond that.

Meteors Blast Off of the Ropes to force Game 5
The Meteors came into this game knowing it was do or die and they simply 'did'. Out of the gates it was an assault and the home team Badgers could not answer. Sebastian Heyer and Trevor Skabo led the way scoring 32 points a piece, but it was really an all around show of force and why this team came in T-#1 in the league.
Of note is the injury to Big man Homer Gandy, hopefully it will not be too serious as the Meteors rely on him for down low play.

Meteors rally late but lose opening game to Impact
Coach Hasheem:
We got out to a pretty slow start, couldn't find our groove. Sebastian Heyer and Homer Gandy really carried us during that time. But we began the 4th quarter on a 10-2 run and finally tied things up at 72-72. Our shooting problems crept back up though as we failed to take the lead and lost by 8. But hey, it was exciting.

Meteors Win on the Road with B-Team
With staples Homer Gandy and Sebastian Heyer on the pine for the game, Buford Lashley shined leading the team in points. The Meteors get their first win under the Hasheem regeme in a close on in the Wasp's nest.
-
Botelho scores just 8 in worst outting of career
If superstar Dean Botelho can't get started, there is no chance that the Meteors will win a basketball game, and that's just what happened against the Cobras. Botelho scored just 8 with 9 reobunds in his worst outting in a 29 point loss to the Cobras. Marshall Silvia and Sebastian Heyer both scored 21 to lead the team.
-
McNiff out for the entire season
Guard Terrence Mcniff went down with a blow to the head and will miss the rest of the season. This is a tough break for the Meteors as this is the 2nd guard to go down to injury this season. Mcniff was scoring 13 points a game and led the team with 8 assists per game.
Sebastian Heyer will step in and is no stranger to experience as he has played in 9 games and is averaging nearly 18 minutes a game.
