Bomb Dropped
Considered one of the best centers in the league, Jamison Bomberger has exploded this season guiding the Ice Monkeys to what should be the teams 4th playoffs in 5 seasons, and 3rd in a row.
3-time all-star and former Team Tournament MVP, Bomberger has put up sensational numbers all season including over 20ppg, nearly 8rpg and hits over 92% from the stripe. He could also be on his way to a League MVP nod and would be the first center to do so in League II history.
The team, led by coach Desiverd added Jamal Reese to the mix, complementing a revitalized Tommie Drey. Wilfred Shobe and Cuniberto Sirett have also been solid at guard as the team has been on a tear lately as they climb the standings in terror-like fashion.

Ice Monkeys back on track after 7-game skid
The Ice Monkeys have climbed back to 0.500 (11-11) and are in the midst of the clustered race for a playoff spot after winning 7 of their last 9 games. This follows a franchise-worst 7-game losing streak, which more than doubled their previous long of 3 losses in a row. With the strong play of G Cuniberto Sirett, F Tommie Drey finding his groove after a sluggish start to the season, recently aquired F Kale Bowline fitting in nicely playing superbly, and C Jamison Bomberger looking good contending for an All Star selection, the Ice Monkeys are getting back to Championship form. They now lead the league in points per game (106.7) once again (Led the league last year with 106.4 ppg), but continue to struggle defensively allowing a league worst (and current record) 111.0 ppg. Despite missing starting G Wilfred Shobe with a knee injury, the Ice Monkeys are playing their best ball of the season and are poised to make another deep run after losing the Championship last year to the Meteors.

It was a hard fought game between the Ice Monkeys and Broncos in the cage, but the Ice Monkeys prevailed after 18 lead changes and OT 137-124. Jamison Bomberger played out of his mind with a career and team season high 40 points with 7 boards and 6 assists while Earl Wilt scored 30 with 7 and 7. Bomberger joined Wilt, Wilfred Shobe and former player Virgil Fowle as the only players to hit 40 points in a game for the Ice Monkeys.
The Ice Monkeys will take top seed with their 23rd win in the playoffs, while the Meteors who also had 23 will settle for 2nd. Meanwhile, the Broncos, who will be making a 3rd straight playoff appearance will take 6th seed.

It's Our Turn: Get Ready
It's just about that time of the season... the race for the League title. So brace yourselves as the Ice Monkeys find themselves back in the playoffs after missing it last season. They took a first round exit their first season in the playoffs, but Coach mmah83 has this team competing at the highest of levels after a monster second half of the season. They find themselves ranked for the first time in franchise history at the top of the power rankings.
Just how solid are the core four? They all averaging over 18ppg for the season, with Earl Wilt leading with over 20ppg. Don't even think about double-teaming them, cuz if one is struggling to get going, they have 3 other's that most likely will be on. Tommie Drey, Wilt, Jamison Bomberger and Wilfred Shobe take their high powered offense which leads the league scoring over 105ppg into the playoffs expecting to be there in the championship, so sit back and relax and enjoy the show... unless you happen to be the opponent, if thats the case GET READY!

Lizards end Ice Monkeys 6-game win streak
Drew Hanes led the Lizards with a game high 29 points on 11-20 shooting, including 4-9 from downtown, to beat the Ice Monkeys 100-98 on the road. The Ice Monkeys built an early 10 point lead in the first quarter, but the Lizards came on strong in the second and led the rest of the game. A late comeback effort by the Ice Monkeys made the game interesting, but it was too late. Wilfred Shobe hit a shot with 0:05 on the clock to cut it to 1 before Roland Sibert hit 1 of 2 free throws to close out the game, leaving no time for a potential game-tying shot. A first quarter injury to Jamison Bomberger, a key contributor for the Ice Monkeys, already missing F Brodrick Lamyman with a hip injury, appeared to play a factor in the game. Shobe led the Ice Monkeys with 24 points and 10 rebounds, but struggled at the perimeter going 1-12. The Lizards dominated the turnover battle 13 to 6, including 4 steals from Israel Deaton, which seemed to make the difference in this game. The Lizards are now 5-0 all time versus the Ice Monkeys.

Ice Monkeys Host Lizards in 3rd Place Matchup
The Ice Monkeys (15-8, 8-3 home) enter the game on a franchise best 6-game win streak and come off a thrilling overtime victory over the Impact to maintain the streak, which required a last second three by Wilfred Shobe (23 pts, 10 reb) in regulation to send it to OT. The Lizards (15-8, 6-5 away) have struggled to get their stride back after starting 6-0 and were the last undefeated team this season. They come off a 101-89 victory over the Wranglers, led by Bart Kelleher (23 pts, 10 reb) and remain impressive at home. However, they face a tough test on the road against a hot Ice Monkeys team who are also playing pretty well at home. The Ice Monkeys lead the league in shooting (.474) and are 2nd in scoring at 105.4 PPG, while the Lizards are #1 in fewest points allowed (93.4 PPG) and 2nd in rebounds at 46.2 RPG. This should be a fun game to watch as an explosive Ice Monkeys team faces off against a staunch Lizards defence in their second matchup this season. The Lizards won 97-84 in their earlier game and are now 4-0 against the Ice Monkeys all-time.

Ice Monkeys off to Best Start
The Ice Monkeys have started Season 3 8-5 and off to their best start. Coach mmah83 has made some key moves to make this team competitive and a team to be feared since taking over last season. A major trade brought Tommie Drey and Brandon Siva to the team in Season 2 and they are both playing well as starters. This off-season the Ice Monkeys signed Jamison Bomberger and he is currently atop the all-star votes for center. Veteran Ice Monkeys All-Star guards Wilfred Shobe and Earl Wilt continue to play well and round out a solid starting lineup. They are coming off 3 30+ point wins in their last 4 games and are one of the hottest teams in the league right now.
