• Spirit knocked out of post season

  A surprising couple of losses have the Spirit scratching their heads. The Spirit dropped the final game 87-100 to the Gryphons ending their great season and a run at the championship.

• Awards

  Team MVP Raymond Gradney was selected as an all-star for the first time. Nicholas Weed also had his first all-star selection.

• McMillen big as Spirit solidify playoffs

  The Spirit crushed the Rhinos easily 108-80 as they insure a high spot in the playoffs. Steve McMillen had a big game again with 25 points, 12 assists and a huge 7 steals in the game.

• Chemistry could lead the Spirit to the title

  

  As expected the Spirit have been one of the best and most consistent teams this season narrowing in on a franchise record 29 wins. While most teams at the top have 2 or 3 superstars, the Spirit have zero. However they have perhaps the best teamwork seen in league history. Raymond Gradney, Steve McMillen, Nicolas Weed, Jarred Ringgold and Randell Fishman have no all-star rselections between them, however the 5 starters average over 17ppg a piece, something never seen before. The team leads the league with over 103ppg and allowing just over 94ppg, the defense is a franchise best along with the inside game. What sets the team apart from the others is that even if any of the starters succumb to an injury, they have the firepower to make up for it.

• McMillen returns, Spirit win big

  Steve McMillen returned from injury to score 35 points with 10 assists and 5 steals to lead the Spirit over the Spikers 128-96. Raymond Gradney also put up big numbers scoring 30 points and 10 assists. The Spirit have now won 4 in a row.

• Career day for Gradney in win

  Youngster Raymond Gradney scored a career high 42 points with 14 boards to lead the Spirit over the Ice 116-76. The team gets guard Steve McMillen back next game.

• Spirit end the bleeding with win

  The Spirit finally put a bandaid on the bleeding ending their losing streak at 5 over the leagues worst team, the Rhinos 101-80.

• Spirit lose season high 4 straight

  The Spirit dropped their season high 4th straight to the Clash 99-107. They are still missing their ace guard Steve McMillen who will miss 3 more games.

• Spirit up to 6 straight wins

  The Spirit increase their league lead with their 6th win in a row defeating the Spikers 104-93.

• Spirit remain only undefeated team

  The Spirit rolled over the Clash 99-86 to match last seasons 5-0 start. Steve McMillen put in 17 points with 11 assists to lead the balanced attack.
