Big win for Urchins over Razors in OT
The Urchins battled all game and finally grabbed the tie late in the 4th against the Razors with 8 seconds left on a Hilario Roe jumper 104-104. The Razors had a chance to win, but Jim Weddle missed sending the game to OT where the Urchins then dominated going on to win 119-111. Bejay Vigna pulled down 16 boards with 20 points in the game. Fred Bustamante scored 29 with 8 assists while Keith Dunworth scored 26 with 12 assists. The Urchins improve to 7-4 while the Razors drop to 9-3.

Urchins hit game winner in insane back and forth game
The Urchins improved to 5-2 the hard way against the Lava with a game that spanned 36... yes 36 lead changes and 22 ties. In the final seconds Kodie Cabotage hit a shot putting the Lava up by two, but with no timeouts, the Urchins raced down the floor, getting the ball to backup center Millard Barreto who dished it in for a tough low post shot to close the game out 122-121 at home.
Fred Bustamante scored 28 points with 12 boards to lead the team while Kodie Cabotage scored 34 with 8 boards. The Urchins are no stranger to fast starts, as they have been 5-2 to start the season each of the last 3 seasons. Unfortunately the team has yet to make the playoffs, as late season collapses have done them in.

Just like last season, the Urchins once again find themselves just outside of playoff contention after a 118-121 loss to the Lava. With Romans and Asteroids both losing, all the Urchins had to do was win but could not get it done. Fred Bustamante scored 29 with 11 assists in the effort. Meanwhile the Lava make a playoff appearance in their first season finishing 22-13 good for a 3rd seed playoff spot.

Venom can't keep pace with Urchins
The Urchins mounted a 21 point lead before being outscored 26-13 and having their lead dwindle away to 3. That's when Hilario Roe came through with a clutch three pointer (his only three attempted of the game) to send the game to OT at 100 apiece. In overtime the game got away once again from the Venom, with this time Nice Smith missing the last second 3-pointer to send it to another OT. Smith finished with 33 points and 12 boards. Fred Bustamante scored 27 with 12 assists to lead the Urchins who now sit at 4-2.

Fred Bustamante seems to be playing with a chip on his shoulder as he vows to get the Urchins into the playoffs which has just barely illuded them during their first two seasons in the league despite going 28-17 last season. He scored 29 points with 11 assists to lead the team over the winless Edge 101-94. On the season he is scoring over 23ppg with 8apg.

Bustamante puts on a show, but it's not enough for Urchins
The Sun Bears became the first expansion team to notch a regular season win in League I, defeating the Urchins 109-104. The #4 overall pick, Litton Woodier led the team with 28 points and 8 assists while Rudolf Sothern scored 15 points with 12 assists and 8 boards. Forester Grinsted also had a huge game with 29 points to lead the team in scoring.
The Urchins kept things close throughout, even leading by 1 with just over a minute to go thanks to Fred Bustamante who scored 32 points with 10 assists and 6 boards with 5 three pointers. However the game would slip away from the Urchins as the Sun Bears had an answer for everything.

Late run by Urchins lifts team over Ice Monkeys
The tremendous run by the Ice Monkeys has come to an end. The #30 seed team surprised everyone by advancing to the 3rd round, and nearly defeating the Urchins to move to the 4th. The Urchins trailed until midway through the 4th quarter to finally keep the lead with just over a minute left to advance.
Fred Bustamante scored 29 points with 9 assists and 6 boards. For the Ice Monkeys Virgil Fowle again had a tremendous game with 23 points and 11 boards.

Incredible comeback by Urchins to defeat Meteors
Several times it seemed like it was all over for the Urchins as the Meteors pulled away by as much as 7 with a minute to go. However led by team leader Fred Bustamante who scored 40 points in the game and capped a 11-2 point run to put the Urchins ahead by 4 and win by 2 116-114 to move onto round 2 where they will face League II champions Cloud.
