Clarence Wertz has announced his retirement from the Asteroids after season 21. Wertz played 8 seasons after being drafted by the Spikers in the 14th season. -
Moles become highest ranked team bounced
Despite a desperate 4th quarter flurry to come back and tie the game at 110, the Moles, the 4th seed were dropped by the #13 Asteroids 116-112. Hiram Atkins had another terrific game with 29 points and 14 boards, but Clarence Wertz off the bench just wasn't being stopped on his way to 26 with 6 boards. The Asteroids will face the Razors/Badgers game winner.

Holy Pitbulls!
The game was billed to be one of the best matchups of the tournament as two of the most storied team in League I history squared off in the third round of the Team Tournament. And the game didn't disappoint at all! The Paladins got out to a 14 point lead earlier, but the Pitbulls continued to chip away, the Paladins pulled ahead again in the 4th, but down the stretch the Pitbulls fought back again with Clarence Wertz hitting the game-winning shot to top the Paladins 115-114. Wertz led the team with 29 coming off the bench. Mauricio Wolcott had another terrific game scoring 31 with 9 assists in the losing effort. The Pitbulls will face the winner of the game between the Cloud and Slash.

Clarence Wertz has been voted as an all-star for the Pitbulls. Wertz averaged 18.2ppg, 6.0rpg and 3.1apg.

Razors pull out thrilling Double OT win over Pitbulls on strength of Roman Storer
In the 4th, the Razors, down by 3 to the Pitbulls, took their final timeout with just 2 seconds left, inbounded and Roman Storer jacked up a three pointer to tie the game at 117 and send it into OT. In OT it was tit for tat, and once again left up to Storer coming off a timeout with 4 seconds left, and down by 2. Storer drove in and hit a bank shot to tie the game once again at 130 and send it into the second overtime. In that overtime, Storer and crew found their rhythm outscoring the Pitbulls 19-8 to win the game 149-138 sending the Razors to 20 wins and 2nd place in the standings.
The Razors 149 points were just 2 off the franchise best set earlier this season. Storer ended up with 36 while Bennie Munson scored 25 with 10 assists. For the Pitbulls, Clarence Wertz scored 38 while Alfredo Knowlton chipped in 26 with 17 boards.
