Things were pretty tight going into the second half, with a likely collapse by the Meteors once they lost Elbert Hewgley to injury, but in stepped rookie Cerano Bucktharp and Marshall Silvia off the bench to take charge and lift the Meteors past the Ice Monkeys 111-89. Silvia scored 28 while Bucktharp scored 25 to lead the team. No one on the Ice Monkeys cracked 20 points.
